The Old Bitter Cape contains in itself the active ingredients of many beneficial herbs, flowers, fruits and roots of the generous Calabrian land, infusions in fine alcohol, to help digestion and give a pleasant feeling of well-being. Among the 29 official herbs that make up the infusion, we remember, for its tonicodigestive properties, some very common in Calabria such as bitter orange, sweet orange, licorice, mandarin, chamomile and juniper. Its soft and aromatic flavor adapts very well even to the most delicate palates, not accustomed to Amarissimi and remember that as the best tradition of Calabria, it should be drunk 20 degrees centigrade in the cape's characteristic cups to enhance the characteristics of the particular herbs that make it. Cape Viejo Amargo, now among the most popular and sold in Italy and holds the record of having been the first bitter to be offered frozen by the slogans launched by the company since the 70s, when consumption was mainly summer and distributed only in Calabria. In 2010, the Old Cape Bitter was the only bitter Italian awarded the gold medal in the Brussels world competition.
