Great little charger
Got this as an update to the earlier model I had from the same company, old one is still going strong, and has brought several “dead” batteries back to life. Got this new one as I wanted to be able to see the charge current and for £25 why not.So far only used it once, was a little confused when the charging current read 14 amps from a 10 amp charger, but all seems good, brought my car battery up from 12 volt back to 14.2v in about 2 hours, it has 2 modes, “smart” for everyday charging, as well as “fast” for cold weather charging and recovering batteries. Seems to do the job, unfortunately my 6 month old battery from the BMW main dealer seem to be faulty, as the voltage drops even when the car hasn’t moved.I’m hoping this one works as well as the older model, as it was truly excellent, it’s also worth noting that the plug is now UK legal, and the connection clips are now nicely insulated. Some have complained that the old model case was not earthed, but my old model and this new one are earthed correctly.Update: Turns out I checked the earthing on the old charger twice, the earth wire in the new chargers isn’t connected, which is a shame, as they have addressed some concerns over the old one, what makes it worse, it took me less than 2 minutes to connect the earth to the metal case, the cable is right next to a suitable point, also swapped the 13amp fuse for a 3 amp fuse

great battery charger
it worked right out of the box. I never even looked at the manual. Plugged into wall and put the pos/negative leads onto an old car battery. It automatically detected and started charging. Took a good 24 hours though as my car battery was flat and not been used for over 2years. I would totally recommend this charger to anyone.

Nice Functional Battery Charger
Yep, I am happy with the product, it does everything as advertised, pulse charging, maintenance and auto detection on voltage and charging capabilities. Quite a comprehensive little charger for the price point,

Clips could be better.
Great little charger love the display my only complaint is the crocodile clips are poor and look nothing like the picture I find it difficult to connect easily big will up grade them over all neat but clips let it down very similar to what you get on cheaper units.

Fantastic customer service
Having done y homework, I ordered one of these as a good buy for my needs. However, when the package arrived it was obvious that there was a large-ish totally loose body rattling around inside the casing. I therefore sent it back and accepted a refund. Next day I received an email from Etrogo with their apologies and the offer of a free replacement! I accepted this, and a new charger arrived 4 days later. It works brilliantly - easy and quick, with a clear display! So -my limited exposure leads me to recommend this, since they have shown an amazing willingness to see to it that I am happy with the charger - which I am!

Highly recommended…. Brilliant
Firstly I would like to say thank you to the guys who answered my question about the unit regarding, does it have 13amp plug top fitted to the unit…. answer is yes it has.Secondly I was pleasantly surprised at the speed it arrived…. Ordered it on the Wednesday afternoon and it arrived on the Thursday morning.Thirdly after spending a lot on a super dupper car charger/maintainer unit which couldn’t charge my flat battery, after trying force charge, battery repair mode and leaving the unit pulsing for 4 days to no avail.Fourthly put the new charger on and boom it recognised the battery had only 4volts and then did its thing…. The display was clear and showed all the relevant details. Left it overnight and in the morning fully charged and the unit had stopped charging. Got into my car and turned the key and fired her up lovely.Put my battery conditioner back on, as it’s a classic car and rarely driven. The problem only arose because the conditioner had been turned off by mistake!Fifthly great bit of kit, very good value for money no complaints at all. Really really pleased.

The Charger looks good and has a good display but does not give out the charge current it claims
I recently purchased the Etrogo Battery Charger to maintain my solar batteries, and here are my thoughts after a few weeks of use.First Impressions:The charger has a neat and tidy design with a large digital display, which is a great feature for monitoring the charging process. The unit itself feels solid and well-constructed.Performance:Initially, I was pleased with the charger. It seemed to be performing well, and the digital display indicated that it was charging at around 8 amps. However, after using it a few times, I decided to test its accuracy.Accuracy Test:I connected a multimeter in line with the charger and the battery. While the charger’s display indicated an 8-amp charge, my multimeter showed only 5 amps. To ensure my multimeter was accurate, I tested with a second multimeter, which also showed 5 amps. These tests were conducted on a battery that was at 55% charge. Conclusion:Based on these findings, it appears that the Etrogo Battery Charger is not delivering the 10 amps as advertised. Instead, it seems to be more like a 6-amp charger. This discrepancy is disappointing, as accurate charging is crucial for maintaining battery health.Pros:Neat and tidy designLarge digital display for easy monitoringCons:Inaccurate charging currentDisplays higher amps than it actually deliversFinal Thoughts:While the Etrogo Battery Charger has some good features, its inaccurate amp display is a significant drawback. If you need a charger that delivers precise current, you might want to consider other options. I’ve included some pictures to illustrate the setup and the results of my tests.
