This is a genuine zippo lighter as far as I can tell and I’ve had no real issues with it so far. My only complaints would be that it needs refilled quite frequently with regular use and there is a slight error in the finish around the stamp, although this isn’t that uncommon so besides that it’s a good quality, reliable lighter. For the price it’s a solid purchase.

I don't much care for the case TBH, and this particular model seems to be numerous, so it's hardly likely to become a collectors' item IMHO.Zippos are so simple and reliable. I used to collect Ronson Varaflames - which are beautiful lighters, but there are SO many small parts to them and so much to go wrong. With a Zippo, you always know where you are. However, the fly wheels tend to get worn down quickly, with heavy use. You can clean the wheels, with a steel brush, for only so long before they lose their relief, and consequently their abrasive quality, and you start getting enough "misses" to make life irritating - so a simple fix, is just to change the insert every couple of years. The Zippo inserts are all the same, from the cheapest to the most expensive lighters and since a replacement insert costs more than this lighter, it makes sense to buy this lighter for the insert. A good deal, I think.

This is without a doubt a geniune Zippo lighter and feels great to use every single time. Only problem is even though the case it came with says its the limited edition millenium the actual lighter inside was black and has this writing on it that says 500 milion. I do not have the time to return the item and the design itself is not that bad so I guess I'll stick with it.
