Quality gear for a superb price
It’s hard to beat the price for such quality gear. If you’re looking for a stellar freestyle quad, this is perfect for you. Get some higher pitched props to compensate for the weight if you enjoy epic power. Before you begin, jump into betaflight, set the throttle curve limiter to 100% (limiter turned off).I bought the 4s (2450kv) version and it’s capped at 70% throttle by default. Either this is for 6s users who bought the 2450kv version or for new pilots, but turn this off for power to properly freestyle. The good: Quality construction. Thick frame with beveled edges, it’d be tough to snap these arms. Xing motors are some of the best motors available. Flight stack is more than adequate. GPS unit well mounted. Air unit is snug and antennas are extended outside the body. Tune is decent out of the box. Bidirectional dshot setup by default. The bad: It’s heavy at well over 500g. Add a GoPro and you’ll feel the weight. Swapping out for more aggressive props helped a bit for more power/speed. Stock props are 5140s, I went with 5165s.Issues: My motor directions were reversed in blheli upon arrival. If you go to take off and the quad throttles up smoothly but stays planted to the ground, you’ve got the motors reversed in the ESCs. Go into blheli suite and reverse the motor direction for each ESC. Remember to check your prop direction as well and set betaflight’s motor direction setting in the config tab.GPS was setup with recovery enabled as default failsafe. Their documents say it’s not, so check yours. Mine also came setup with decent gps recovery distances, angles, and settings. The rates are not to my taste and I immediately changed before my test flight. Yaw was high at 1.00 with high super rates as well. Drop these to .80 and super rate of .7-.8 for a better experience.

Not programmed
This drone is not a BNF drone. It does not come programmed. They are in China and can’t talk to anyone for help. Only email. My drone will just take off over 1/2 throttle. The company is telling me to just install the blades. I know when I install the blades it will be gone. The DJI is so easy to link and has an awesome picture. You have to take a class in beta flight software to even get this thing to fly. Buy something else..... (edit) after a week of back and forth with the company one email a day I finally installed the blades just to find out the motor direction is backwards. You have to download BLHeli32 to change it which I cannot download. Waste of money.. only nice thing is the DJI

Amazing quad for beginners and experts
I’m new to FPV and already had the DJI goggles and remote. Wanted to build my own quad, but bought this one instead. It has been perfect for learning and high-speed flight. Best of all, it is amazingly tough. The photo shows my first real crash from a failed flip that buried one arm 4 inches deep in the grass. After cleaning out the motor and replacing 2 props, it flies like new. These 6mm arms might be heavy, but they make this quad a good place to start as a beginner. It also has GPS and comes pre-configured to fly home at a loss of signal. I’ve tested that feature a few times and it let me follow some bikers a long distance until I lost signal. 15 seconds later, the quad had flown up high enough and flown toward home to reacquire signal.

Nice drone
Very well made drone! Imho best for a beginner ) Thick 6mm arms hard to break )All soldering points are good, works out the box.I've got version with Betaflight 4.1.2 , so upgraded to 4.2.0 right away (iFlight Google Drive has all config dumps to upgrade)This drone was recommended to me by advanced pilot as a first one to buy.

Smoooooth
Really enjoy the 4S version, very fast and can do some smooth slow action as well. Thick arms and seems durable, buttery smooth all around, I’m also happy with the stock tune. Be sure to set up failsafe GPS before you fly and test it.

A very good 5" drone
This is not a beginner's drone -- but is an excellent drone. Their are numerous YouTube videos by drone experts/influencers to assist with setup (and provide reviews on performance).

Customer Service is the Worst Product is not what it was years ago 💥🔥
The media could not be loaded. The quad arrived fine, and I did all the normal Betaflight setup. On my first flight I took off and made one pass and then flew to a clear area and activated the GPS Return Home to test it. The quad leveled out and started to climb then I lost video and the quad crashed to the ground. The video is from the DJI Goggles showing when the video went out because of the fire. As you can see from the photos either the ESC or the DJI 03 Air Unit wire shorted and caused a fire. I contacted iFlight and they responded that it was my fault for testing the GPS Rescue. From what I can tell they think BetaFlight has a Self Destruct option that you can remotely set off. I am still fighting with them over this and have found from Facebook Groups this is now a common problem with the iFlight electronics. I have multiple other iFlight Quads and will never purchase another product from them. The electronic failure also ruined a brand new battery that only had this flight on it. They don't care about that either. I have purchased a GEPRC and have been very pleased with the DJI 03 Air Unit and over all performance of there products.Update: I purchased two GEPRC Mark5 quads with the same 03 Air Unit. GEPRC uses the OEM DJI Antenna. I have flown both over 100 flits now with No RC loss I can fly out of range to the point the vision signal is dropped but the RC is still great, and you can power up to regain signal. Iflight is doing something wrong with their setup, either the BEC or their antennas. I really like using the DJI Remote 2 and the simplicity of the setup without having to install a receiver etc.

Smooth flyer!
very smooth quad. built like a tank but still flys great. I would highly recommend anyone looking for the best 5” cine quad that you can still freestyle.
