Intricate character development and plots, gorgeous scenery, amazing actors, funny .. what's not to love?

I love the Seaside Hotel series so much that I bought a international DVD player so I can watch season 5 now and not wait for it to come available on Prime.

Great dvd of one of my favorite shows badehotellet! SO happy since prime only offered up to season 3. Very worth the money!

We pretty much liked everything about this series. Very entertaining.

Interesting and charming, nice character development over time, perfect in all ways except..Am I the only one who finds Weyse incredibly annoying? Like, nails on chalkboard annoying? A one-note caricature who has not developed in any way since the start?I am? Okay.

Like many others, I am totally in love with this show. I watched the 1st episode of Season 5, which only became available via Prime a little over a month ago, and then it suddenly and with no warning became "currently unavailable." After much hassle, including re-setting my Prime account and my Roku, I contacted Amazon customer service and was informed that they "updated their catalog" and Season 5 is no longer available. How can this be? The representative tried to explain that they "remove old content to make way for new," but Season 5 is less than 2 months old...and the older seasons of the show are still available. So I don't buy it. And speaking of not buying, I cancelled my Prime Masterpiece subscription and requested a refund for the month I just paid for. I'm SO irritated with Amazon Prime Video right now.

Amazingly well written story, flawless acting, gorgeous photography. Never didactic but touching on many serious subjects: gender politics, the creeping fascism from next door, sexual liberation and more... while also been at times extremely funny and light hearted!... a tour de force!At first the original language seemed a bit much to read in translation, but soon I was taken in completely to the last shot of season 5. I assume this to be the final season and although I will miss it, I do not see how it could carry on without devolving into self parody. But I hope they come up with a cookbook as the food that comes out of the hotel kitchen looks so appealing.Tak everyone.

Does anyone know when season 6 will be released? I've enjoyed this series and would like to know when I can expect to catch up with the characters and life at the Seaside Hotel again.
