Works pretty well
While this won’t straighten fins on some radiators that are bent at a hard 90 degree angle, it will do a decent job of straightening the fins that aren’t bent like that if you take your time.

Excellent tool and surprisingly durable.
Handled all but the most badly damaged fins with relative ease. On the worst fins, I straightened them best I could with a pocket screwdriver and aligned them using the Robinair 18403 Fin Straightener. TIme consuming but well worth the effort. Took about a day of work to repair the carelessness of the original installers but the repair is awesome and the efficiency of my heat pump/AC unit has improved noticeably. The tool still looks like new. No visible wear on the straightening teeth which was a nice surprise because of the negative reviews I had read before buying. Glad I bought the tool.

Good tool for people with patience.
This tool works very well; however, the tool is fragile. The polymer comb will not hold up to abuse. What I mean is if you sink the comb in the fins and just gorilla it up the fins, you will ruin the comb. There will be an appropriate fin spaced comb for you to use so just test until you find the right one, don't just try and make one work because its close. Just pull up slowly and "firmly." Use discretion. If you hit a particular bad spot you must work the tool, slight jiggle side to side with up pressure and it may take several several purposeful strokes to slowly straighten a really bad spot out. As this tool is fragile it does tend to wear out/damage quickly even if you are careful.

Excellent tool, worked perfectly to realign the fins on my wall-mounted air conditioner
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the plastic aligners tooth that goes on the tool arrived a little bended right out of the box and it is hard to realign them (they are rigid plastic) so they fitted properly between the metal fins of the condenser. Once I realigned/forced them back straight as much as I could, I was able to use the tool properly to realign the metal fins of my air conditioner and it did a very good job.
