Update: this is my third kit I've bought from bttr. I first bought the lavender, a month later the sunflower kit, and just bought a second lavender kit. My first lavender kit was planted a month before the sunflower and you can see from the picture how slow growing and delicate lavender is. Be patient! I always buy plants that are already grown so this is exciting to grow from seeds. The fertilizer sticks are in the kit so as it grows I can help it along. This lavender is so delicate so when you water it, you literally have you use drops of water so as not to wash them away or be to forceful with the water. I had more seedings but thats what's happened. Great gift for people who don't have room or a garage for a bag of dirt. Excellent gift for nursing home residents.I just purchased this product. I loved the fact that it was a no mess kit! I felt no need to go buy my own dirt, make a mess just to watch my seeds grow. This kit is so convenient for an "inside" project. It would be great for anyone with kids to allow them to tend to.

Instead of planting the lavender in a container that is not set for drainage, I planted the seeds in a regular pot with drainage. There has been absolutely no movement from the seeds at all. It is absolutely dead and worthless. I've been going back-and-forth with the provider of this and so far there has been no complete answer to the issue. I am waiting to hear back from them right now after about the fifth email.

I have bought 4 of these, 1 for me, 3 for gifts. Unfortunately it takes 8wks to get the first sign of growth. We are all so excited, doing exactly as said. I don't have a lot of light, so I use the morning light then put a grow light on it. We are all so excited to have the wonderful smell and look of lavender in our homes. I looked on-line, they have a lot of these, even veggies! I'll have to check those out also, we'll see how the lavender does.

Its been over a month, followed instructions. Still nothing

However either I am either no good at growing things or the product was just eh. I purchased two. Followed directions perfectly. And I’ve been unable to get mine to grow past 1-2 inches. I’m not sure what to do, if there’s anything I can do or if I should just toss.Really loved the idea though! Planned to put near my bath tub for relaxing night baths

I got this for my mom for Mother’s Day, along with other things, but I got this for her because she loves lavender, she has a lot to do on a daily basis already and this is easy to do and take care of. Plus it’ll last all year round. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very upsetting I waited a while to get this and was excited when it came. When opening the package there are no seeds to plant. Call the manufacturer and now have to wait another 2 weeks before getting the seeds and no compensation or anything for my troubles that have incurred. Now hoping that when I do get the seeds they actually grow will check back after I get them

Bought this to use with my son in our homeschool, and then to enjoy on our screened porch for the summer. The directions were easy, though we found the fertilizer spikes had slipped out of their package and gotten a little crushed in the box. My son did the work. The seeds are tiny, so I suggest the adult opening that package with scissors and emptying in the palm of your hand for the child to plant, or you'll lose them all. You'll need a sunny windowsill because the seeds germinate at 80 degrees, and it takes several weeks, so littler ones may become impatient. At 8 weeks you put in the fertilizer spikes so I'm looking to keep them where I won't lose them and putting a reminder in my calendar. We're looking forward to having lavender blooming on our porch and watching them grow. One thing... it would be nice if the jar had a pretty logo or design on it instead of the words....
