120VAC to DC 12V 8.5A LED Transformer Driver, NiuGuy 100W LED Power Supply for Under Cabinet Puck, Lights Strips, G4 MR11 MR16 LED Light Bulbs

Installation was a breeze, due to the included wires that come pre attached (and labeled) to the device. Had to look at the pictures in the product description to figure out which was line and which was neutral on the 120v side, but that wasn't hard. Most of the work came from retrofitting this to what I had before. Worked like a champ as soon as I applied the power.I had an Ikea chandelier that got wet from a leak in the ceiling that shorted out the 12v transformer. I figured I'd better go with a waterproof one this time and this product was small enough and cheap enough to fit the bill. So far so good, though hopefully there won't be a chance to test the waterproof aspect!I might order this again for some outdoor 12v lights, but since the 120v needs to be shielded from water I'm sure I'll put it in a box. I did use shrink wrap tubing around all of the wiring, so it should stop any shorts, just an extra precaution.

Easy to mount as it is small. Works great with door switch in my refrigerator with very little delay turning on my 3 led units. Whirlpool wanted over 100 dollars per led light on this thing so wired my own solution and saved a ton of money and even brighter than before.

I was replacing two larger transformers for sets of 12V lights. The old transformers clunked when they turned on and sometimes chattered. Also, I replaced the lights with LEDs and they began to flicker. The new transformers works great! No noise or heat build-up on the transformer and the LEDs are now steady. The only problem I had installing them is that I wired it with 14 gauge wire and it was difficult to get it into the connections but I did manage. I think it was designed for a smaller gauge wire.

Installed in September and works as desired for now . I used it to power my house number on my mailbox post . Was able to install inside electrical box at base of post . There is a GFCI outlet Installed in the box And there was just enough room for this ! I’ll let you know how waterproof it is after a NH winter .

One of the 3 that I bought was in the case backwards. The labeling for the connections are on the case, and with the case backwards its easy to hook the AC to the output the DC to the input. Fortunately I realized this when it didn't work.Mounting slots could be a little wider.

I’m an electrical contractor by trade and I’ve used similar hatch transformers to power led ribbon light. I’m use to paying $60 bucks at the supply house for a dc transformer. I got these on a chance because they fit my requirements for boxes I used on my own kitchen remodel. They wire up quick and easy and are fairly small. They do have a 3 second delay when you turn them on. Now this was alarming at first but to be honest I don’t notice it anymore. I just hit the switch and walk away. I will buy more and use them in customers houses now that I know they work and fit in desired locations.

The transformer (power supply) has a round form factor, which makes it easier to install in the ceiling box than rectangular shaped transformers. I am not sure if I'd really submerge this power supply in water or even let it sit in the rain. It does not appear fully waterproof to me. I tested it with 3W and 6W G4 M11 LED bulbs. Both work well with this DC transformer. It powers LED lights flicker free which is very important to me. The downside is, that the lights only come on after a delay of 2 - 3 seconds. I hit the light switch, 2 other LED lamps connected to the circuit with different transformers come on immediately, but the one that is connected to this transformer remains off for 2 - 3 seconds. That is very annoying. The delay is long enough for you to turn the lights on and off because you think something is wrong if you do not have another LED lamp + different transformer connected to the same circuit whose lights come on right away. I ordered 2 more units just now to see if this is a general defect of these transformers. If so, I will have to return all of them.

I bought two of these to be able to use 12V LED MR16 bulbs with some decorative fixtures I have. Works perfectly. The turn-on delay that other reviewers have mentioned is there but for my use it's not problematic.They seem to emit little heat and they don't buzz unless I increase the bulb's brightness to the max.

I replaced my rectangular halogen transformer with this LED light compatable transformer & it fit nicely & easy to install. The 2 day quoted time for delivery I was skeptical about BUT YES I had it on my door step 2 days after I ordered. Very happy with this.

Works perfectly as an LED driver. Only slight critisism would be the cable entry point could be made to handle a wider variety of cables, but I'm not an engineer and I'm sure that's easier said than done

The product arrived on time, installation/connexion made simple by design. Excellent customer service - I ordered the wrong item and got all the support I could expect from vendor, as well as the correct item, which is working exactly as described.

I replaced my halogen bulbs by new LEDs and the bulbs were flickering and sometimes simply would not light. I tried to replace the transformer but I didn’t have enough room. With these little drivers, no more problem, they would fit right in. The lights work great without any flickering. The only downside is that they take a few seconds to light after the switch is turned on. No big deal. Very satisfied overall.

A must for today’s LED lighting needs. The old transformers for halogen do not work with these new lighting options.
