Very good and clean amp

After months of research and reading folks on bass and pro audio chatrooms saying "power is power" and "it doesn't matter what class the amp is, it will deliver what you put into it", and "class D sounds exactly like class AB if you match the gain stage...", I bought this amp to go in my bass rig. Well, I heard for myself - again - that class D power does not sound or feel like class AB power with the big transformer. The lead sled simply sounds better. ...WAY better. And, this Crest Prolite is built like a flimsy piece of junk. (don't listen to the "higher up folks" at any of these amp companies like QSC or Crest. - they all have cotton in their ears)

The amp works fine I just wouldn't purchase anything from. audio saving. (restocking fee) I don't shop with anybody wants money for free.

There are quite a few on the market and this one isn't the cheapest, but it's the one to get. Sure there's the cheap "B" brand and they're ok, but this amp will run circles around theirs. The DSP is VERY good, as well. My 18" subs have more punch on this amp than on the cheap "B" brand that claims the same power.I run 2ohm loads on each channel at times and it just cranks right along with very little heat, but most of the time I only task it with 4ohms per side with some JBL JRX115's and a pair of 4ohm 18" subs. VERY musical, not just a harsh 'big number' amp.It's light weight is disconcerting to old school guys used to carting around giant heavy amps, but the only time they start complaining about the sound is if you tell them it's a class D amp and suddenly they claim they can tell (they can't).Rarely does anything impress me anymore, but these amps deliver what they promise and these days- even THAT is rare.

great amp, more clean stable power than most amps on the market. easily drives subs, highs whatever you ask it to do. lightweight, powerful, good dsp
