Seneo 2.5L Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier with Night Light, Auto Shut-off

I watched the you tube reviews on the Seneo Humidifier before purchasing this and it was super easy to set up and begin using! It is also visually appealing especially with the light feature. I use Organic Essential Oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, frankencense & lavender in the scent tray provided with the unit and it is very soothing! We breath much better during the night so we sleep better and our nasal passages aren't dried out after we wake up. Another thing we've noticed since we began using a humidifier during the summer months (instead of winter only) is that we have been able to leave our A/C temp higher at night which has helped lower our electric bill.I would like to point out that Distilled Water SHOULD be used in vaporizers & humidifers (& ALL appliances) or you risk adding bacteria into the air. update to original review: as I used this humidifier more I did just add oils directly into water and didnt find oil pad of much value. I do think as a humidifier it is pretty good quality. The company although annoying with emails, was very concerned about my satisfaction and even offered to compensate me. So has worked out well.Original review:So just got this today and so may update after more use, but really? Ok product for humidifier, but not what it says it is.PROS: Does send out a lot of mist. Does hold a lot of water. Nice adjusting knob. Arrived fast.CONS: essential oil tray dumb! I searched both reviews here and tried googling this machine before buying to see if aroma tray actually got saturated with water with use and couldnt find info on it anywhere. It does NOT! It has a felt pad you put drops on and gets drafted in. The scent comes out some...but not like a diffuser would. Pad is only one use (or one scent anyway). And tray is in way to low/ bad spot and really hard to get out of machine. I needed a humidifier anyway which it will be good for but bought mainly for another diffuser and you know what...with the poor design of tray and need for new felt pads I will end up putting my oils directly in the water, even if it shortens the life of it. I dont know how the ultrasonic part of it will diffuse it through though. Will let you know if/when I try it that way.Other con would be the price I paid. I expected both humidify and diffuse. So a bit pricey for humidify only.

Ok so I'd like to say why I'm giving this five stars. I did NOT receive this product at a discount. I had previously purchased 2 different humidifiers before from Vicks and was left very unsatisfied. I wanted a humidifier that produced lots of mist and a humidifier that gave me full control of how much most came out. The seneo 2.6 produces a ton of mist and it's very very fine. I love how it has an option to have it very low or high. The dial gives full control. The reseviour does last a long time in my opinion. The only time it does seem to consume water before the night is over is when I add sea salt but the auto shut off always kicks in. I do baby this humidifier because I am very please with it and in my opinion the price is outstanding. The packing was great too, it was packaged very tightly making it a bit difficult to get the humidifier out but that just showed me how protected it was. It does have a tray at the bottom for oils and yes it does work very well. My fiancé didn't really believe in humidifiers providing any help and thought it was just a toy I wanted but she loves it. Our son is congested sometimes and when we have this on for him he wakes up breathily great with no stuffiness. If I ever have to purchase another humidifier I will be purchasing from here and yes I recommend it. 5 stars for easy use, great look, having an oil tray, and of course the amount of steam is impressive.
