Cocoons Fitovers Polarized Sunglasses Slim Line (MED)

These are extremely awesome sunglasses. I've had my same pair for at least the past 20 years. Bought these for hubby when he broke his sunglasses the end of last boating season. Our first trip out this year, I let him use mine, and he liked them, so got these for him for Father's Day this year. Had them shipped 1-day, and they got here the day before Father's Day when I gave them to him, as tomorrow is a boating day for us, and I wanted him to have them for that. These fit over both our prescription glasses so well, and have a small 'shelf' that keeps sun out from above the glasses, and the sides of the sunglasses have a triangular area that does the same, with the lens material in the center of it. I won't wear anything else now, they are SO comfy and convenient, and beat having to have another pair of prescription glasses as sunglasses all to heck!

Although these work great -- they really block out the glare when I'm driving, especially along the sides which actually hurts my eyes -- I'm on the fence about keeping them because they look like goggles on my rather small and delicate face -- which is why I have given it only three stars. My eyeglass frames are of the contemporary larger size, so getting a standard Cocoon size that does not look too oversized and that does not show my eyeglass frames underneath as prominently as they now appear with the copper colored lenses (recommended to me by my optometrist) doesn't seem possible. (I had ordered another pair previously with the help of my optometrist but the frames were TOO big. Amazon customer service was fantastic and helped me resolve the problem when I needed to exchange the for a different style and size because I rarely order online, especially when the product requires fitting. There is a very helpful fitting guide to use when ordering, but one doesn't know how they will look until trying them on. I have to decide whether to keep them just for driving or not; but I will probably not wear them otherwise -- even though I wish I could.

I've been wearing sunglasses over my prescription lenses for years, after I encountered a pair of a different company at a stand in a mall. They didn't look great, but they worked and didn't look too outlandish. I am fair in coloring and the sun has always caused my eyes discomfort.I went through a couple pairs of this other kind fairly quickly until one day, through sheer chance, my search for a new pair came up with Cocoons. I could see a big improvement immediately. The material was superior and felt more comfortable. Even though there isn't that much room for improvement when styling this type of eyewear, subtle changes in design helped me feel more that I was wearing a pair of women's sunglasses instead of those of a truck driver. Plus, the other brand came in a crude, canvas style bag. Cocoons come in a case which indicates that some care is put into preserving their product.I am rough on my sunglasses and, in general, don't bother to put them in their case. Thus said, they last a good few years before the scratches make them blurry. I literally "don't leave home without them".Recently I went to a sunglasses store in a mall and browsed around, looking for styles that might fit over my glasses. When I asked the vendor if he sold any of this type, he said, "We don't sell Fitovers."My response: "These aren't Fitovers. They're Cocoons."

My husband ordered these for me after my research and choice. I was careful to accurately measure my RX frames and lenses before I was confident I was choosing the right Cocoons "style". Reviews warned of odd fit, but I am pleased with the Slim Line (medium) fit and style. At first they seemed large on my face, but not so. The ability to wear these over my RX lenses is awesome. I like the stylish look and had some double-take glances my way today (the new eyewear, right?) I wasn't sure about the lens color choice and went based on a look/style. The product upon delivery included detailed information about the lens color choices that I hadn't seen in my pre-buy research. These are amber, I may have preferred the gray (I will not give these up now however!). While I was driving it was easy to see in my peripheral vision zones. Even though these have thick "temples", Do not let that deter your choice. I tend to be sensitive to light from previous bouts of ocular migraines and use visors, caps, or cheesy sunglass visors. The hour I spent on the beach today did not require the use of any of those! The case: Its alright. Made well and plenty of room for the sunglasses. When folded my Slim Line Cocoons are 1 and 3/4 of an inch tall/thick. I would be cautious of the zipper teeth as they may be sharp enough to scratch a lens. This is one decision and purchase I did well. Like others have said: I will buy more pairs! I am more than pleased! Delivery was ahead of schedule.

Polarized, UVA+B protection, plus blue blockers for max help vs. sun damage to eyes. Excellent, but love the amber + green reflective lens even better, same company.

This is my third pair of Cocoons, so I obviously like wearing them. I keep one pair in the house and a pair in each of our cars.

These COCCOON glasses ara great! Ialmost think I can see more clearly with them on!!Ithink they were well worth the money.

Fits very well over my glasses. Doesn't reduce vision acuity at all.
