Cheep, Cheep!: Baby Animal Sounds Board book – January 5, 2016

It's such a sweet little book! I got this for my 5 month old. I love the illustrations.

This has been our son's favorite book since he was only 3 or 4 months old. We got it as part of a care package from the hospital where our baby was delivered. I don't know what it is about this book in particular, but he's obsessed with it still at 6 months old. Definitely worth buying! Also the companion book Look Look.

Funny story, we borrowed this book from the local library and then lost it. So we had to buy a replacement. The book arrived in the post and of course we found the libraries copy in the back of the car. So we kept the new book. Our son who is nearly 2 years old really liked the book and would ask me to read it in bed for him. The book itself is very light but the pages are thick cardboard type pages, so it's pretty durable. It's pretty short in terms of story, only 6 pages or so. I do like the illustrations, nice color schemes for each page, not too bright or complex. It is a very short story and is probably more suitable for younger toddler/babies, perhaps 12 to 18 months of age. At this stage our son doesn't look to read it any more.
