Mega BloksHALO Dual Mode UNSC Warthog

I've wanted a Warthog in my collection since I started building these sets. This one is moderately priced, and offers a lot of value for the price. The set builds a complete vehicle and includes two different weapon set-ups, a Gauss cannon and a launcher for four rockets. There's also a set of clip-on armor that goes around the front and sides. Also included are two Spartans, a Hermes and a War Master (listed on the box as War Hammer for some reason) in a flecked tan armor.

PROS: Extra armor, lots of customization options for the warthog vehicle. It has side rails that can be lowered and raised (or removed if you don't like them) which adds some LONG-NEEDED security for the driver and passenger. The front bumper system looks like it could take a serious beating in a mega-construx demo derby (haven't tried that yet). A clear improvement on previous renditions. The Spartans have a wasp/hornet emblem on one shoulder pad. New fireteam? Or maybe they're an isolated 2-person team (one male Warmaster armor, one female Hermes armor). It also comes with a matte black hydra launcher which is kinda uncommon, not many sets have solid black ones. Both turrets are fun. I use the rockets because they're different from anything else, but the gauss works fine too. The underside, however... that got me going. It has PIPES. Like, an exhaust system or something intricate yet functional like that... and a tow hook with retractable line in the front! It is by far the most realistic and, in my opinion, solid 'blocks warthog in recent memory. It stays together as well as any of the best Mega Bloks/Construx sets.CONS: No complaints.

Son likes it a lot.

My son absolutely loves the Mega Bloks Halo series. He is constantly looking for more and more sets to build and play with. This is a great kit for him to mix and match with the other sets in the series. This one took him a little longer than he expected to put together, but he was thrilled with the outcome. It does appear that he is/was missing a small piece, but looking at the finished product you would never know. I will need to contact the manufacture.

I am 11 and I love this thing it has all the features that are in the game and every little detail there is on the warthog in the video game its awesome it even has the cable in the front and best of all it also comes with the upgrade extensions like the upgraded warthog in the video game.IT IS SUPER COOL YOU HAVE TO MAKE MORE THINGS LIKE THIS THESE HALO SETS ARE UNBELIEVABLE.

Rec pack included and a great model. I personally can't wait to put my own touchs on this one. Armored and customizable mega bloks is getting better.

Amazing set with a lot of customizibilty (sorry for the spelling) Buy it but its a little long of a build for the standard warthog set

This brand is harder to put together than lego brand and the directions arent as clear either. My son enjoys them, so its worth the extra effort!
