Wanted the larger Knox version but it has been out of stock, so got this one.Took a two week, 2800 mile trip, staying a a few hotels and spending a few days on the road.It fit all we needed, can fit a two-liter bottle of soda if need be and was a nice size to keep in the SUV.The key with these types of coolers are to make sure items are cool/cold BEFORE putting in the cooler as the manual states the cooler MAINTAINS food temp.Saw some of the complaints here about it not working after putting warm items were put in the cold cooler, so made sure items (water. soda, yogurt, cheese sticks, etc) were cold before putting them in the cooler.Also put one small blue ice block in the cooler on top of everything.Had a fridge thermometer in the cooler to check the temp which while running stayed at 33-36F.The cooler kept things nice and cold, was quiet and ran 24 hours a day for 2 weeks.Another key is not to open and close the cooler a lot.Had the cooler in my black SUV in 95 degree heat for a few hours a couple of times during the trip and it kept things cold.Also, love having the two plugs being able to take the cooler into the hotel and plug in, refreeze the small blue ice block.It worked fine without the blue ice block, but we knew it was going to be very hot during the trip and since the instruction manual states:"It is not intended to change the temperature of any food but rather MAINTAIN the temperature of food", I thought the blue ice block would kind of fool the cooler and it seemed to work like a charm, just a tip.

Purchased in July for a 3-day road trip in August. It worked great! Also worked fine on a 3-day road trip earlier this month, October. Kept things cool, but noticed the DC adapter seemed warmer than usual. On an overnight trip this week, we plugged it into the DC receptical in our truck and found it did not work. Checked it out in another receptical & it still didn't work! At the hotel, I plugged it into AC. It started right up, AC works fine. What we need though is for the DC to work!! This unit lasted a total of 6 days!! It worked fine when it worked! I'm trying to return it, but having a difficult time doing so.

Works great. We bought this to use on a 3 day road trip and it served the purpose well. We kept milk, cheese, coffee creamer and meat in it and didn't have to stop at restaurants along the way at all. We did plug it in the night before and put some cold packs in it from the freezer as some others recommended. We have no complaints at all.

So far so good. Testing at home right now. Seems to work well. Like other reviewers stated it's best to let it run a bit and then put chilled things in or it could take a while to do it. Adding a blue ice helps to boost it a bit though it's not necessary. Love that the cords tuck away in the top compartment. I have to save the fifth star for after the road trip in a few weeks. Haven't tried the warming feature, but I cater and entertain so it could be very useful I think.

Only lasted for 1 and a half trips. Plugged it into the wall, turned on, the light came on with a little sound but that was all. Spent the last two weeks of the trip freezing and refreezing blue ice and using motel crushed ice!

Used it for an 11 day trip, worked well both in the car and in motel rooms. We had two freezable cold packs that we put in the freezer compartment of the motel fridge each night. Kept snacks and drinks cold the whole trip. Great cooler.

This cooler deserves all 5 stars & more! Really saved me when my refrigerator died! I use it all the time!

Awful cooler...and can't return since it was past 30 day mark...if you purchase, use right away to decide if it's what you want. Does not cool properly...even plugged in over night for day trip and nothing was cold.
