I love marimos! Since in their natural habitat they get rolled around by waves, which is why they ball up, they like being played with but also don't require that much attention so if you like having pets but also like traveling they'll be fine while you're gone and you don't have to worry about feeding them. They're also a great addition to existing aquariums provided that your fish don't eat algae! Speaking of algae, you know how every aquarium hobbyist will tell you not to put your tank near a window because it will cause algae well marimos eat up all that algae causing gunk keeping your tank algae free which is probably the biggest perk of having one in an aquarium, and then you save energy because the sun heats your tank and your heaters don't have to work as hard. I LOVE the way these marimos were shipped, ordering plants online is so risky, they come packaged in a plastic bag so they stay moist and inside a box so they aren't smashed and maintain roundness and they come SO healthy! The first marimos I ordered I ordered from Thailand and they came double wrapped in a bag which was nice, but also in an envelope which flattened them and they took forever to come in and they were starting to brown, luckily I saved them. The worst part about these marimos was that, mine at least, came in a little dirty but that was no problem to me at all because I love playing with these little guys and I wouldn't put anything in my tank without thoroughly cleaning it fist anyway. These marimos are very healthy, large, fluffy, and soft! My beta LOVES them as well! I purchased a large leaf plant for her because I read they like to rest on the leaves but mine likes to partially bury herself in sand between these marimos and snuggles with 2 at a time. The package came with 3 giant marimos and upon cleaning a little chunk fell off and I was able to create a nano marimo, and I felt and can see another spot on one of these that is about to make another nano marimo, they grow slow so it will be interesting to watch these babies grow. And the price of these are so amazing! I recommend ordering from this seller online, yeah you'll have to wait a few days for them to come in but at least you know they're coming in healthy and at a great price, you get three here for the price you pay for one in pet stores and believe me these are so addictive, if you have the time to play with them you'll want to! They're great for home decor, aquarium hobbyist, maybe even a childs first pet. These make great gifts and they are tied to an epic love story and supposedly also represent friendship. These Marimo moss balls are perfect! They arrived quick and in great condition. I am very impressed with the size and condition they arrived in. I was worried about how they would arrive as I've had other plants that didn't do well in travel but these were fine.I already had a Marimo ball that I have had for about 5 years; these arrived just a little smaller than the one I already had. They are just as green and full and I am very happy to add these to my aquarium and in a bowl in my office. They are just so easy to care for and add a unique look.I rinsed mine and gave them a gentle squeeze before I put them in their new homes and they are doing great. I am sure I will reorder more as I've already had friends want to add them to their aquariums. All 3 of the balls were alive and green on arrival. They were a good size and pretty uniform. I had to keep them in the fridge for a few days before I found the right glass container to keep them in, and they did fine. I am looking forward to having these on my desk at work! After I had them in water for a few days, I noticed one of them looked a little sickly, but it is still alive. It doesn't look completely better yet, but it is not as bad and definitely is not getting any worse. Hopefully it will recover slowly over time. I wish that they danced a little like I read that they could, but mine only really float after I change the water and squeeze them out, then they eventually sink. So no dancing yet, but maybe when they are more comfortable with me. These were given to me for a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I wanted something different to display for people and I really like fish but because they do not make noise I forget to feed them. When I seen these I was curious so I researched them and found out they were part of an old folk lore and known for love. Perfect . As I researched them I found out how easy they are to care for and that they live for many years. You can put them anywhere you have water displayed. All you have to do is change water once a week which is easy to remember I change it when I deep clean my house a week. You get three little fuzzy balls. Squeeze them out before you put them in water ( I read that in one of the places I researched). When I placed mine in the tank they really grew in size and floated a little bit before they sank to the bottom. I really like mine. They say you can break them but I do not want to.
