Linco Lincostore Zenith 9 feet Heavy Duty Light Stand for Photography Strobe Flash Lighting

uh, its good
while i ordered this light stand, the one i received is slightly different. mine has these 'stabilizers' between each leg that are total crap. i took them off because they don't provide any extra stability plus they just make it more difficult to fold up. all that aside, the light stand is heavy, seems strong, made of quality material, and very stable (even with the 'stabilizer' attachments removed). some reviewers say theirs came with wheels, mine did not. i gave them 4 out 5 stars simply because i did not receive what i ordered, but it is a good light stand. not worth dealing with the wasted time trying to return. wish is was air cushioned or spring loaded to save my flash if it were to ever give loose and come straight down.

Shocked...
I bought this as a more portable light stand then the several I own for taking to a photo conference. Honestly, I love this stand and plan to buy several more. Its super sturdy and stable even while holding my 36" softbox. The legs snap into the center column to secure them while closed and that helped out tremendously....

BEWARE...
I purchased 2 of these units for an upcoming photo-shoot where I'll be using 8-10 strobes and needed more stands. One light-stand was new in sealed plastic. The other may have been a returned product since the plastic was open on one end. The box they came in was in good condition, with no signs of shipping damage. I setup the stands as soon as they arrived and found the legs wouldn't lock in place on the center column. Just the slightest downward pressure and the column would lower itself. I couldn't get either one to lock the legs in place. Looked closely and found both units had cracks in the same place, preventing the locking screw from securing the legs in place. I can understand one unit was over tighten, cracking the housing, and was returned to Amazon. Then Amazon shipped it back out. But there is no excuse for a brand new unit being shipped out like this. And with both having identical cracks, I suspect this a design issue that will plague all of these stand eventually. I returned both of mine to amazon and order other stands..

It's bigger than it looks.
Came today. Seems robustly built. The mechanism for leg spreading was unusual for me. The top part slides down as the legs spread.

It broke very quickly
This stand was great!...Until the top pole got stuck and the whole stand was worthless after one month of use, ONE MONTH. Just past the return window. Awesome.
