Q: I tried to process wild black cherries using the screen that came with the mill (tomato screen). Totally clogged up. Grape screen better?

I tried doing concord grapes with the tomato screen once and it clogged up like that also. The extra screen kit is great because that doesn't happen. Worth the money for me!

Q: Does this Fit Weston 07-0801?

Here’s kit dimension comparisons: Weston: 6.3 x 5.8 x 6 inches. VKP250-5: ‎6.2 x 6.2 x 5.8 inches. I noticed dimension listings seem to vary however, and attach points seem similar. That said, Weston 07-0858 is the VKP250-5 comparable strainer set; it may be worthwhile to get that “proprietary” Weston model with the Weston mill to avoid any potential return hassles.

Q: Can i use this to make tomato sauce being that the tomatoes will b hot, can the plastic handle the heat?

If you are talking about them being hot from removing the skins, it would be fine. If you are talking about boiling them to mush first, then running through this, I wouldn't but then I don't know why you'd do that - you're going to cook the strained tomato to actually MAKE the sauce with spices, maybe peppers & onions anyway.
