This year the weather has been so unpredictable, but has also introduced a very large population of aphids onto our tree... Obviously this led to an almost comical level of ants patroling the branches. Well the picture shows just how incredibly well this Provanto grease band has worked.

Although easy tto fit , the trunk of the tree isnt completely round . So there were some gaps in the fit

Very good - two things though: You can't see what it doesn't catch, so who knows? Having said that, it catches a lot and is pretty sticky even after rain. Second point: Given that trees, or bits thereof, are rarely smooth, it would be great if the band could be a little elastic, then you could get a really snug fit before tying it in place...no little gaps or tunnels for things to try to creep through.. Hint: Old-fashioned green gardening string, worked better for me than the tie they give you.Whatever, very pleased and would/will buy again. (P.S.The tree agrees - I just asked it)!
