Great Way to Start Skin Care Regime
I bumped into a Hauschka saleswoman stocking her shelves at a Whole Foods and she explained how to care for my skin with the product line. So I ordered the Cleansing Milk, Cleansing Cream, Facial Toner, Normalizing Day Oil, Daily Moisturizing Cream and the Lavender Oil from Amazon since it was a better deal than at WF. As she instructed, I filled a basin with really warm water and added the Lavender Bath Essence to it, then soaked a facecloth in it and held that to my face for a bit. Then cleaned with the cream in the morning, the milk at night. At night, per her instructions, I only applied the Facial Toner and patted that in. In the morning, I applied the toner, then squirted a bit of Moisturizing Cream into palm and mixed that with 2 drops of the Normalizing Oil. Within a week, people were complimenting me on my skin. I could see that it looked brighter, healthier, younger. But after reading on the Haushka website that mature skin like mine (I'm 59) should be treated with the Regenerating Serum and Cream, I plunked down the big bucks for those items. My skin immediately went back to looking dull and older. The serum leaves the skin feeling sticky; the cream reeks of mocha and doesn't seem to add any moisture. As soon as I use them up, I'm going back to the other products. And my daughter, who is 25 and battling some acne, is now using the other products, too. Her skin is improving daily, hasn't looked this healthy and clear in several years.

Really inferior product to the old Lavendar bath oil. Much less quality. Disappointed!
This is the new Lavender Bath Essence that is replacing the oil Lavender Bath Oil that was sold by Dr. Hauschka for a long time. . I honestly feel it is not at all comparable to the old one and I am very disappointed in it. I have used the old Lavender Oil for years and it was an exceptional product with a true natural intense Lavender aroma that created an amazing calming and relaxing experience when used in baths or added to moisturizers. This new product has a woody smell added to it, feels watered down, does not suds well in the bath, and the lavender smell is much less intense and ineffective. I am so disappointed in this inferior replacement of what was an outstanding product. This is surprising as Dr. Hauschka products are in a league of their own and I have been an avid fan of this company. Sincerely disappointed purchaser!

soothing at the end of a hard week at work!
I take a long bath (30 minutes) about once a week. It's a good way to pass the time while doing a deep conditioning treatment on my hair -- warm tub, book, etc. It's particularly welcome on Friday evenings after a long week at work, and even more so when I have a pretty-smelling bath product instead of just plain water. Last time I did this, I used Dr Hauschka Moor Lavender Calming bath essence.I love the smell of lavender and it's nice here -- subtle and not at all cloying or overpowering as some floral fragrances can get. I did have to use a bit more of this than the instructions suggested, although I was using a trial-sized bottle and the cap size may have been different (since instructions are given in terms of how many caps full of product to put in the bath water). However, seeing as I did not have any problems (along the lines of skin sensitivity), it's probably safe to use quite a lot of this at once, so you should adjust the amount of product to suit your own preferences. This did not make suds for me and did not really soften my skin or anything like that; it was mostly just a source of a pleasant, calming (natural) fragrance. I like that the ingredients are mostly natural and that it doesn't contain any dyes.Particularly recommended for people who like the scent of lavender. This was (and would be) great in a relaxing, pre-bedtime bath.
