Timberland Men's Piper Cove Fg Boat Shoe

Construction-wise the shoe is very nicely built and sharp looking. Quality materials, real leather smell, perfect stitching.Comfort-wise I really like the insole and the overall comfort of the shoe. Though the leather is thick and strong, it's not overly stiff.Fit-wise, I normally wear a 10-1/2 shoe and wound up returning this 10-1/2 for a 10 instead. My foot is narrow (B width) and there was just too much there on the D width. I couldn't cinch it down enough before the leather between the laces puckered up. This is a common problem for me, so if you have a wider foot you'll likely be just fine. I don't downgrade a star for this because my foot is so narrow - I'd have to downgrade everything just because I'm weird :)Short of paying a couple hundred bucks, I don't think I'd find a better shoe. I have Timberland Pro hard toe boots and I wear them daily for years before thinking about replacing them. I love that I never experience any soreness in my feet!

I owned these for over a year, wearing them approximately every other day. Mostly just for commuting and office job, but also some travelling around the world.These are pretty comfortable shoes, but unfortunately even my moderate usage resulted in more wear than I expected. Biggest problem is that sole attachment at the toe started to slowly come open. It still held secure, but resulted in leaking so I couldn't rely on these shoes to withstand even small puddles. I did fix it with some shoe goo, but it surely doesn't look as nice anymore.Second problem is that insoles (which, by the way, are quite comfortable) are starting to tear at the heel since the top fabric layer is worn through.Old review:Pretty good water resistance - walked freely though 2-inch puddles without getting my socks wet.It is about half a size bigger than other shoes I own of the same listed size

These are very well made shoes, I haven’t quite broken them in yet so I am hesitant to give them a 5 star rating. That being said these are not the type of shoe that is perfect right out of the box. I have had good shoes like these in the past and you always have to wear them a while before they are comfortable. I am down to one spot on the third day that is still bugging me, the sides are a bit higher than other boat shoes so they touch my ankle and are still causing slight discomfort. I figure a few more days and the leather will soften and I will love these for years. But if you are thinking you are getting some synthetic material shoe that fit like slippers initially go buy something else.Edit 3/4/19. After about a week they broke in and they are wearing very well. I am upping my rating from 3-4 stars. I think they are great boat shoes!

Shoe was awesome looking...but the biggest 10.5 I've ever worn...and I'm old, so I know my 10.5s.

These are very nice boat shoes. Better quality, sturdier and more comfortable than Sperry topsider. Definitely recommend. Fit true to size.

I ordered 2 pr. of Boat Shoes, one from Timberland and another from one of their competition. Both were ordered on the sam day and both arrived at my home today. I kept my Timberland Shoes and am returning the competition. The ones I returned were way too narrow and the overall quality didn't come close to Timberland. I will wear them daily until they wear out and just buy another pair.

I have always been a fan of Margaritaville shoes, but I really needed a pair to go with my black pants and Buffet's stuff is always so expensive. I ran across these, knew the Timberland brand to be good, so I took a chance with my $45. Overall I am very happy with the fit. I keep them just a little loose so I can slide into them easily in the morning, and they honestly feel nearly like I am wearing bedroom slippers at work. The soles absorb shock well for my creaky knees, and the material on the rest of the shoe has a thick, quality feel. I'll have to buy a suede brush for them to keep them clean, but that's a small price to pay. Will probably buy Timberland boat shoes again, even if they don't have sharks carved into the sole!

The listing says "Our Piper Cove boat shoes are ready for seafaring adventures...," but the shoes are slightly sueded, which is not something you'd go boating in, and not something I'd want for everyday wear (or any day wear). And, like most ads for laced shoes, the photograph does not show a bow, but has the laces tucked into the shoe. I've come to expect that in ads for shoes; it makes them look better. But the laces for these shoes are fat cords, not thin leather laces, and the bows are almost clownishly big. And I can't easily replace the cords, because, like most Timberlands, the laces wrap around the entire back of the shoe to get from one side of the tongue to the other. (It was difficult just to get both ends of the laces to be the same length.)

Well. First of all, we have absolutely nothing to complain about! My husband, a healthy robust 82 had a pair just like it for at least...and I say at least, ten years. He wore them all the time. Finally we concluded that a newer pair would spruce up his appearance a bit. So I was so lucky as to find, on line, without any drawbacks, exactly the same shoe, same size, same colour, same make as the beloved old pair! How many times can one do that without even leaving the comfort of one's home? If at all? Within a week the shoes arrived, exactly as ordered, perfect fit...so we tossed out the old pair. Perhaps with God's help in ten years we will be back! 😊 Thanks!

Sin duda un buen producto pero yo esperaba que pudiera lucirlos con cualquier prenda, es complicado encontrar la combinación adecuada para que se vean geniales, aún así es un buena opción para un estilo casual

El producto, la talla, el color, todo como estaba especifcado en la hoja. Ahora me llega un ajuste en el precio con dinero a mi favor, reembolso por reduccion en la tarifa de exportación y sin yo solicitarlo me lo aplican. Mas confianza para seguir comprando via Amazon.Gracias.
