I use it mostly for drying grasses and greens for my house rabbit. it's far better quality that the expensie one I bought here,which broke down really fast.

Not what I expected
I have owned a Mr. Coffee dehydrator for over 15 years. The trays started to crack so I thought I would purchase another one and hopefully it would last another 10-15 years. Not the case. I unboxed this item and a tray was already cracked. The base has a fan and a heater exactly like my old one, BUT the fan does not operate. There are one-way screws in the base so I cannot even open it to troubleshoot. Very disappointing.

Have an old dehydrator with a slow motor? Here is a tip
I've had my Food Dehydrator for years, but recently the fan stopped working. Instead of sending it off for an expensive repair, or buying a new one, I took it apart to see what the problem was. It turns out that the motor was running very slowly, and on close inspection this seemed to be because the grease had become thick and old. So, I took the motor apart (super easy) and then cleaned off the old grease and applied some light oil. Voila'! I am back in business.

Love mine
I just pulled mine out of the closet to make some beef jerky. It's going right now and I started thinking man this think is years old and just keeps on working. I thought i would see if they even have them on Amazon. I bought this one years ago. I've never had a tray Crack. But I just wipe them off. I did put them in the dish washer once but after reading the reviews here I don't think I ever will again.

Perfectly pleased.
I have had my MR. Coffee dehydrator for over ten years. I cannot understand why anyone would have trays falling apart. I have used it seven times this week, and have used it much for the past ten years. It is still perfect. I have usually hand washed the trays but do put in the dishwasher sometimes. I love this dehydrator so much that I got one for a friend. I waited a year before I found a used one on craigslist so you see , I really like it. Not one problem. I leave turn it on at night, go to sleep and everything is dried by the morning.
