What appears to only be about the size of your palm, is actually a shampooing beast! Just think of using it like you would a fancy bottle shampoo. A few direct rubs on the scalp should be enough to give you a significant lather for your needs.The smell is there but not by much. It fades away within the hour for me. But it's a natural soap bar for the hair and scalp with some added benefits.PS:Make sure to use a ziplock bag or a large soap box for storage after every use. The container in which in comes in, will not contain it. That written description on the page, does not hold up unless you're waiting for the soap to dry first.

Never used shampoo that wasn't in a bottle. The first time I used the bar I didn't know what to expect and was very happy with my first used of the shampoo bar. Really like the way it cleans my hair, if there is a scent, it's very mild. Wish I had this when I use to travel. No worrying about shampoo leaking in my suitcase. It lathers well and washes clean. Too early to tell if I am getting any hair growth.

I got this because the regular bar was out of stock. It is good for hot lots of dirty work. I have used it a couple of times. My son likes it.

I bought this as I am losing my hair from menopause.. Since day one I actually get out of the shower and have lost no hair and it is regrowing..I highly recommend for hair loss .. My only issue is that I did lose hair color very fast, as I do color my hair .. I’m ok with that as long as I am not losing hair ..

I’m addicted to this bar shampoo: Night Shadow. I have a lot of hair but it is thin in texture and after using this, my hair feels more substantial and thicker. My scalp is squeaky clean and this soap does not break it out. Some shampoos break me out in little bumps like pimples around my temples. This does not. I’ve used Alba for 20 years but I have stopped buying almost all plastic and this shampoo is way better than ALBA! Lasts awhile, too. My only negative is the cost. For this price, most soap bars give you at least 4 oz. The Aurencias are 2.3 oz. They’re a little pricey. If they start charging more, I’ll look for something else less costly. Love how my hair feels after using this bar!
