Nice card for a case with 9.5 inch length limit (and blower style fan requirement) - tested on Alienware X51 R3
This is a great card for the price. As stated by other reviews, it fits perfectly inside an Alienware X51 R3 (I replaced an old GTX 960 2GB, this card is the only non-reference/non-founders edition blower style fan and 9.5 inch card I could find at this time), the improvements in performance are noticeable and almost every game I tried so far (Forza Horizon 3, Forza Motorsport Apex, Gears of War 4, Recore, Grand Theft Auto V) can run on 1080p at Ultra or High presets on my computer. When I first installed the card, there was a loud fan sound coming from the card because it seems like it was running at full blast, however this ended after installing the latest drivers available from Nvidia (I uninstalled the GTX 960's drivers before installing this card, as recommended by some forums, so this happened only on the first boot). I wouldn't say that this card is too loud under regular use but it does seem a little louder than the stock GTX 960. Build quality seems adequate for the price (board and electronics), however the black cover looks cheap and uninspired with even the sticker being flimsy. So far I can recommend this card for people with my kind of restrictions with chassis size/position, blower style requirement and power supply delivery; however, I would highly recommend to invest more money in either a better GTX 1060 card with better cooling and build quality or a GTX 1070 which I think delivers the best balance between money and performance. I still think this card model can be the best option for the X51 R3 if you want to fit it inside the case, otherwise it would be necessary to buy the Alienware Graphics Amplifier, which is not too expensive and can handle even a Titan X, but it will also add more noise and clutter to the overall system configuration and specially with the X51 proposition being small, quiet and power efficient.

A nice upgrade for Alienware X51 R2
I had a gtx 960 before in my alienware x51 R2. The gtx 1060 6gB is a nice upgrade. Now I can play VR games on my Oculus Rift, as well as FFXV at medium to high settings (at high, the framerate dips a bit sometimes in combat, but it's very playable, and I only have 8gB of RAM and an i5 4460 3.2GHz; I will probably upgrade the RAM soon, and a solid state drive would be a good upgrade too, especially for the loading times of FF XV in particular). And anyone who has an Alienware x51 R2 can really appreciate this card because at 9.5 inch length, it fits in nicely: no need to remove the fan, and it will accept a 6 pin for power as it can accept both a six pin and 8 pin connector, so you won't need that adapter that it comes with. It's also a blower type, so heat is expelled out the back and not into the tower, and it has low power requirements: it needs 120 watts, which is perfect for the 330W PSU. It was also very easy to install. Just watch some install videos for installing a gtx 1060 into an alienware x51 r2, and you'll be fine, just make sure to take the necessary static electricity precautions, and watch a video that shows you how to open up the tower, because it can be tricky; it is supposed to slide ride off if done correctly.

Probably the best bang for your buck for a budget card
I can also confirm this works for the Alienware x51 R2, no modifications needed. I recently upgraded from a GTX 960 2GB. The extra 4GB of VRAM on this GPU makes a huge difference. I can run Arkham Knight on max at 60 fps, Forza 6 Apex on Ultra at 70-90 fps, Gears 4 with most settings on Ultra at 60fps+. Probably the best bang for your buck for a budget card. Only difference between this and my last card is that the fan makes a slight buzzing noise, but it's nothing too serious, you'll only notice if your room is completely quiet.

Reliable budget card until it stops working
Good powerhouse for its size and architecture. However after about a year and a half the fan stopped working and I had to replace it myself with a 3rd party cooler master fan. Otherwise worked perfectly fine.

good value
love it works in alienware r3 was a tight fit with adapter. check will work with only 6 pin adapter in alienware cpu fits lots better. overall does great for small form factor cpu's that need a reference designed card.
