perfect little notebook with a few caveats
I started out with a larger bullet journal but realized I'm not really interested in decorating or planning (I work in an art journal, so I get my creative stuff out in that area)- I just really liked writing out daily to-do lists and documenting my days in list format. This little tiny book is perfect for that- it's about the height and width of my iPhone (a tiny bit wider) and thick as a paperback. It seems like it is a coptic binding but it's covered with a very thin stretch of material- it lays *kinda* flat when open, but the small size and heaviness of the amount of pages make that tricky. I have no problem opening it and writing in it.The paper quality is "meh"- it's super thin and VERY smooth, and I like to use pencil, so I wish the pages had a bit more texture and heft to them. And if you use post-it notes and move them around, the pages will curl up after removing that sort of adhesive. Erasability is not great. As far as the grid, it's light. And the little date thing on top is microscopic- too small to be used, so I just write the date across that area.Despite these little nitpicks I have with the notebook, out of all the books I have used for planning/bullet journaling, this is my "Unicorn" journal- it's perfect for me. Perfect size, perfect shape, perfect grid. It doesn't take any time to work in it because of the size and it's has genuinely increased my productivity level. I like that the pages aren't dated or specifically purposed- every few days I can dedicate a page to brainstorming or a monthly to-do list or jot some notes down and it flows with the rest of the journal.Perfection. Just wish the pages were slightly more textured and durable.

Excellent, if not better alternative to a Hobonichi. Here's why.
Instead of ordering this year's Hobonichi release, I did a quick search on Amazon and found this gem. I'm glad I did, because this is just a much, much better alternative for my needs. Here's the breakdown:1. It's cheaper2. No outrageous shipping charge from Japan3. No 2-3 week wait for overseas shipping4. Same size as Hobonichi A65. Nearly the same cover. The gold gilding (branding) is, of course, different, but if you have this in a cover, it doesn't matter.6. The paper is of the same quality. I have used Microns, Tombows, and Koi/Prima/Fine-Tec watercolors and it has held up beautifully with NO bleeding. The only significant show-through (outside of the shadowing you'd find in a Hobonichi) is when I tried to blend Tombows with several layers (color, color, colorless blender, etc.). Even then, it did not break down the paper surface - I just noticed a little more evidence of the color on the reverse side of the paper. I tested this in my Hobonichi, and the paper reacted the same way. I would say the paper is of a very similar, if not equal, quality.7. Fits inside Hobonichi brand A6 covers and cover on covers perfectly8. Grid is faint, but visible and an excellent guide for bullet journaling, text, etc.9. The ENTIRE PAGE is available for use. I love this because there are no huge dates, or quotes/text at the bottom. There is still some faint, tiny date information at the top of the page, but it is faint. If you are using this for a daily planner and need to refer to the date constantly, You either need excellent eyes, a magnifying glass, or you will need to write in the date yourself.I have completely switched over to this brand, and I just ordered an A5 (=Hobonichi Cousin). Great product, great price, great Prime avaiability. Can't beat it.

Yes it fits in a standard Hobonichi cover!
If you happen to already have a Hobonichi cover and don’t feel like importing the A6 Techo, I can confirm this STALOGY notebook does indeed fit!I plan on giving Hobonichi covers away for Christmas this year, but in a few cases, the recipient is probably too young to use a full journal/diary-style notebook like the Techo. So I was thinking of just putting a blank A6 notebook inside, but this seems like a nicer substitute instead. It has some journaling options at the top of the page if they want to use them, but the page is otherwise blank, gridded and has some nice, thin but sturdy paper.

A wonderful alternative to the Hobonichi Techo! Excellent quality, and wonderfully smooth pages! Love this!
This is a wonderful alternative to the Hobonichi! I have been toying with getting a Hobonichi for months but, because the dated pages are intimidating, I decided to go with this more flexible alternative. The dimensions are the same as the Hobonichi Techo, with one page for each day. There are little Day/Month/Year lists are the top of each page so you can circle/underline the date info if you wish. The paper is shiny but not too shiny and of wonderful quality. I have already done a spread using spray inks, glue, and Fujifilm Instax prints that turned out wonderfully. While I did have some bleed-through with the spray ink because I was too heavy-handed with the application, I think that a more modest amount would be perfect on this paper. The book is well made and cute and fun as an everyday carry journal. I am excited to make regular spreads and use all kinds of media. I layered media - stamps, glue, watercolor/dye, and photos - with no problem, and the adhesive-backed embellishments I used adhered very well. I still love the Hobonichi, but I really feel like this is a high-quality, reasonably-priced alternative I am going to love. Note that this is the 4x6, A6 version, so it is small. There is also an A5 version that is closer in size to the Hobonichi cousin, and that is equally as wonderful to use. I am told that this Stalogy fits well in Hobonichi Tech-sized covers, as well.

Great notebook with lots of pages!
Great notebook! A ton of pages. Size is great and handles most writing instruments well. Only wish it had a closure band. Pages get raised and a little floppy the more you fill it up and use it.

Perfect little notebook
This is my second stalogy of this size. I love how the paper handles fountain pen ink, love how fast it dries on the paper. The crisp white page with light grid is perfect for helping handwriting look neat and tidy. Also easy to throw in a bag and go! Fits in a hobonichi cover if you want, as well.
