No. I am 6’ 240, and xxl fits just perfect. Not much extra room where you would need it.

Q: How does the flap work? Is it big enough for the purpose

The flap works, just pull the two sides apart and sit, but I find it to be just barely big enough. Some of the material is between the toilet seat and my backside, and there is not enough room to tuck my other parts through and pee at the same time, if I need to. I am 6'2" 275lbs, I bought the 2xl.
