Orthene is an Organophosphate. It lasts approximately 3 months, give or take depending on the temperature, humidity, etc, of your home. While it lacks the sheer destructive knockdown power of psuedopyrethrins, it has an excellent residual effect, and is great for those pests that are immune to pyrethrins. I use the two in tandem, with great results. Outdoor perimeter treatments require retreat after every two rains, as with any pesticide. Hope this helps!
