ORCA Silo Growler Cup 64 0z

I judge "thermal" containers by their ability to keep my coffee hot all day long. This container does just that, and better than any of the other thermal carafes, jugs, etc. I have owned in the past. I preheat the container with scalding hot water while my coffee is brewing, and at the end of the day, my last cup is still drink-worthy hot.My only complaint is the smooth texture of the threaded cap. During the day, as the coffee cools from scalding hot to drinkable hot, a slight vacuum is created inside the container. The vacuum, combined with the very close tolerances of the threads on the cap, make it very difficult to unscrew the cap. This is especially true for someone, like me, with even mildly arthritic hands and wrist joints. I would like to see Orca modify future versions to have a knurled or diagonal serrated cap, thus making it easier to grip.

This is the worst insulated drinking container that I have purchased. I own Yeti, Viking, Healthy Human, and generic insulated tumblers and water bottles. I bought this because a wanted a larger container and this had a excellent price. It is not insulated worth a crap. Outside of the container is cold, like the ice water inside, even though its 90 degrees outside. The comments from other users that it leaks is because the top of the lid is open and water gets in it when you wash it. I tried to seal it with silicon, but then I tasted silicon when I drank from it. Must be that the lid is not completely sealed. I wonder what will be growing in the lid soon.Skip this one and find something else.

This is a great growler, however you have to crank the top lid on to make sure it doesn’t leak at all. All-in-all great for the price.

Keeps iced liquids cold for ~24 hours, but like all of these vacuum bottles it works best when FULL. The stainless steel loop allows me to clip the bottle to my backpack without loosening the cap. Ridged stainless steel construction adds strength and hides dings. Plastic base prevents the bottle from scratching surfaces. Have not used this unit to transport beer.

Nice quality, however bevarege gets hot after couple hours.

mine arrived with a dented cap. it had to have been dropped prior to being placed in the box. the cap is held on by a plastic strap that does not get completely out of the way, the strap is too short. the copper lining is untrue; stainless, just like the exterior. for the size of the unit, the opening is too small. i feel the simply simily is a better product, although less capacity.

I like this product so much that I bought a second one, and I saved nearly 40% off retail price by buying it on Amazon. It does keep liquids cold in the hot sun at the beach for a ridiculously long time (about 24 hours). All of your beach goers over 21 would appreciate the fact you can put 64oz. of whatever you want in this and drink it chilled all day and night long. There's a $500 fee per glass bottle at two of the beaches near me, so I pour a six pack in this and off I go. I like this product so much that I bought a second one.
