Working well. Perfect fit
Perfect replacement for my older Toro weather beaten unit. Basically this is just one big on/off switch. The switch itself can be either normally open or normally closed. Changing from one to the other requires moving a connector plug from one terminal to the other open terminal. I forgot to check my existing unit's polarity before wiring this up and installing on the house. Of course it was backward as my control unit showed the rain cancellation icon when I turned it on. Had to remove from wall and swap the connector. Just a couple screws so not a bit deal but I didn't leave myself enough extra lead to pull the sensor away from the wall to do it comfortably (and sensor is next to a huge arborvitae bush so had to wrestle around that. All in all it was fine and simple to replace. I might purchase again but should the need arise, I may just upgrade my irrigation control unit to a newer version with remote control option which may or may not require this specific sensor. This is my second replacement in twenty years so getting about ten years out of it before replacement.

Great rain sensor!
Pros: saves water and money, compatible, come with connected wireCons: None at this timeI ordered this Toro sprinkler system wired rain sensor to use with my irrigation system. I love that it saves water and money by automatically interrupting irrigation cycles when it rains. It is compatible with any sprinkler timer and it isntalls easily by using the provided quick clip on the gutter bracket. It also includes 25 fee of UL rated connection wire and can be adjusted for rain sensitivity between 1/8 to 1 inch.It works by absorbing rain water and then interrupts the power to the valves once rain is senses. Once it dries out, then the sprinklers will run as scheduled. It does not require any tools to install and it does did not interfere or change any of my system programming. It shows a teardrop when it’s sensing rain and won’t operate the valves. It comes with detailed instructions and once installed, it works very well. I am happy that this sensor works so well so that I do not waste money on watering my lawn in Florida when it has already rained.Overall, my experience with this rain sensor is very positive. The shipping was fast and arrived in the provided time frame and the product arrived undamaged. If you’re shopping for a great way to save money and water, then you have found a great product! I have no complaints about the product or the shipping process and I would definitely purchase this again. Disclosure: I received this product at a discount or free in exchange for an honest review.

Turn off your sprinkler system when it rains!
With the micro-burst of rain storms we have had recently this has worked well to capture the local rain and "turn off" my Rachio IO sprinkler controller so I don't water when I don't need to. Installation was very easy--clips to the gutter, run the wire down and then I stapled along the top of my garage wall to the controller box. Not exactly pretty, but I didn't want to invest the time into it until I was sure it worked. As the front of my house is brick, I spray-painted the part of the wire over the brick so it was not quite as obvious (the white wire was very noticeable). Once installed, it blended in and was there for a few months before a good friend (who had been at my house many times) noticed it and asked about it. It'll take awhile, but I am sure it will eventually pay for itself in saved water.

Works well, but wire is a bit short
This works very well and is extremely easy to install. The adjustment for sensitivity is on the sensor itself, so you might need a ladder to access it if you put it up high. There is about 25' of cable. I think they should give you a lot more than that. Most people will probably need 100' to get to the roof of a two floor house (after running from the control box outside and along the ground to an appropriate spot to run up the side of the house.)I was able to splice in some extra wire (old 16 gauge speaker wire!), but I think they should give you more wire to start with.
