Base hairline with Avlon Affirm Gentle Assurance Sensitive Scalp Protector OR petroleum jelly. This is common sense; there is no need to explain why.3. Follow the Relaxer steps on the Box of the Affirms Sensitive Scalp Relaxing system kit. When you add the liquid activator, pay attention to how strong you want the relaxer to turn out. Remember, African women have several textures in their heads, so start with the coarsest parts of your hai. It's not always in the back of the nape. KNOW YOUR HAIR. Only overlap the relaxer on previously relaxed hair once you pull it through in the last 2 or 3 minutes, and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes before washing out the relaxer.THIS A PROFESSIONAL RELAXER SYSTEM. On top of that, you only need to leave it in your hair for up to 15 to 20 minutes. Longer than that, you risk hair loss. This relaxer works really good on my hair. It straightens my hair. I like that it has 9 relaxers, which last quite some time. The kit comes with everything except the shampoo and conditioner. It is a very gentle relaxer which is great for my sensitive scalp.

I'm so pleased! This was my first time using this product, and unlike previous relaxers, it didn't burn my scalp. My hair came out beautifully straight and feels incredibly soft.

Best relaxer. Leaves your hair soft and straight. As long as you use their products the relaxer will last 6 months , at least that is how long it lasts on me.

Due to COVID-19 and my usual hair salon being closed- I was an essential corporate level manager at a hospital and still needed to look groomed even Over Zoom or Skype - I gave myself my first self relaxer / touch up at home after watching several videos. I’ve been getting professional relaxers for years.I like the consistency , no dripping, smaller size containers- one was enough for shoulder length hair. Base the scalp first, get your timer out, isolate your new growth , work fast , and say a prayer. I used the other Affirm products , neutralizer shampoo, conditioner, etc- I would not mix different products- because I am not a cosmetologist . I spent well over $ 100 On all the additional products but there are at least 7 other Unopened single use relaxer jars in this order- probably enough for 1 - 2 years based on the expiration dates. No scalp burns , you may need a family helper, but overall I was pleased with how it relaxed my new growth and I still have hair on my head! Trimmed my ends and blow dried my style. I spend over $ 125 just for one such visit to the salon. I’m still nervous about returning to the salon, which I like but I know some Customers Will be masking , some no mask and or will be half maskIng- Folks cover the nose and the mouth if you want to protect yourself and others- the nose and mouth are all part of the respiratory system - covering the mouth is not sufficient while we all try to get through this pandemic.i know they will take the business however it comes- my hair is not worth this health risk. I’ll be doing this again in 10 -12 weeks until this virus is contained or a vaccine is available.Glad I could buy this from an Amazon seller.
