this light is so bright, it actually gives me a headache. i have a tree that needed some extra light, and this light really delivers. i can't say it works cause i can't stand keeping it on longer than 5 minutes. I'm not somebody who is overly sensitive to bright light, but this one really hit me. I'm not sure i love the clamp setup. it was hard to get a good angle where i needed it, but maybe on the side of a desk or dresser it would be okay.

Excellent performance on our Succulents, cacti, and limp plants from the 15 degree Northeastern weather! Our new Succulents all arrived at once and don't get any natural sunlight because the window sills are too drafty for desert plants, so we rely on small grow lights right in our living room to get them growing, blooming, and "plump".A few of our Succulents were stretching out and shrivel in after reporting.... but this light quickly got them back to normal. We only use this light about 5 hours per day with a lower, wattage light at night to not overwhelm them. This light is VERY bright with one setting. Off and On. There is not plastic except in the clamp area which easily attaches to our end table in our living room where the plants are currently clustered for the Winter. This light is VERY bright. Don't look at it. It's like the sun! The metal area surrounding the light/head gets warm.... but not hot enough to be a hazard to children or pets (we have both).While this light is crazy-bright.... as long as you don't face it toward yourself or in your eyes. It's near out TV and fine as long as it's not tilted our way. This has many lights.... both the correct mix of Red and Blue for optimal growth, as well as a small percentage of UV light and a few White LEDs to cover all bases and give all types of plants optimal conditions.This doesn't put your electric bill through the roof nor require a special "grow room" and clips easily to end tables and anywhere you keep plants. It works! It perked up all of our plants fast and with only a few hours per day. We plug this into a regular extension cord with no issues and the light itself provides a very gentle warmth toward plants, so no need to worry about "roasting" them. The flexible neck is very versatile and the steel design is attractive and functional. Easy on/off switch and no complicated or bulky parts. Our plants are loving it and thriving in the ice-cold Northeast. Great, powerful design.... No maintenance or worry. Excellent growing ability... and fast, too! We love it and do do our plants!

I have a gardenia plant that requires a lot of sun so I purchased this light. Two issues: Finding the right piece of furniture to clip the light onto in the direction required and near and outlet was my first challenge. Tried seven places. Ending up in an upstairs bedroom. I preferred to have it in the family room. Lastly I tested the full spectrum quality of the light with a meter. I had full spectrum light only at the top of the plant. The sides had had nearly zero. So I could not use the light. But I plan to use it in the fall for plants less 'high maintenance ' as my gardenia. Presently the gardenia is outside.

This lamp is for indoor flowering this is not vegetative growth. I bought this product because I needed to grow some Venus fly traps after some research I found out that plants needs a blue spectrum light such as a cool blue or soft white flourecent. Most plants need blue spectrum to photosynthesize, this lamp produces red spectrum, a light needed for flowering. Do not buy if you intend on growing. Other than that it gets quiet hot at some times but does produce sufficient lighting

Works great! I live in an apartment with only North facing windows so I needed something to suppliment my indoor succulent garden. After just a few days they perked up and stopped reaching toward the window. The light really simulates sunlight. It gives off a pink hue, but when the sun is shining it blends right in. The convenient clip allowed me to position it on a higher surface so the light would reach all of my plants. When this one eventually goes out I plan on getting another.

The light doesnt support itself very well and wants to fall over without support. Its a pain to balance or adjust and looks bad when you have other things leaning against it to support it. I think I could have spent $13 less for the cheaper light and had the same quality.

I have a south facing window and thought my seedlings were getting excellent light but once I placed this grow light on them I saw such a difference in just one day! Looking forward to getting my tomatoes planted outside in 4 more weeks!

I use this for my indoor strawberry plant since it doesn't get too much sun in this part of the world. It's been growing like crazy!
