Lucid 4" Folding Mattress & Sofa with Removable Indoor/Outdoor Fabric Cover, Twin

I like that the item came with a tool to open the plastic packaging without ripping the mattress cover (looks like a safety letter-opener). I removed the plastic packaging, unfolded the mattress, and let it air out/reshape for 48 hours (per the instructions).I also like that it came with a set of flame-retardant foam covers (you have to remove the mattress cover, put the foam covers on, then put the mattress cover back on). However, the flame-retardant foam covers had an UNBEARABLY TERRIBLE, PUNGENT odor. Even after 48 hours, it did not dissipate, so I removed the mattress cover and foam covers and washed them. I dried the foam covers in the dryer but line-dried the mattress cover, plus I let the foam pads air out for almost 24 hours. The smell is mostly gone and I was able to get all the covers back on, but before doing so, I measured the foam pads and they are NOT 4'' (pictured are the two larger/bottom pieces, each about 1/4'' short).Despite the height and odor issues, it's a pretty good guest mattress. I purchased a set of cotton jersey sheets (the really soft/stretchy kind) and they work perfectly - I can even fold it into the "sofa style floor chair" (really it's less "sofa" and more "floor chair") with the fitted sheet still on.

We use this mattress in the back of our 2019 Tacoma when we go camping. It fits well with the "headrest" pillow part folded up. It is much more comfortable than an air mattress. And you don't have to worry about a losing air overnight. It also does not get cold like an air mattress does. you can fill the folds of the mattress when you lay on it but it doesn't separate because they're all sewn together.I haven't had to do it yet but it looks like taking off the cover and washing it would not be too difficult.Keep in mind when storing it, it is big and bulky. It stores in the tri-fold position. There is a separate bag you can buy to carry it which makes it much easier than the two handles that are sewn onto it.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. It makes long adventures in the woods that much better!

I ordered these mattresses for my kids' rooms while we are traveling the country and I am impressed with them so far. We've had them about a month and they are super easy for the kids to move around and quite comfortable for the price. They do not feel like dense "memory foam", but the foam is pretty sturdy. My husband said he's a little too heavy for them and can feel the ground a little when he sleeps (he's 5'10", 160 lbs). I did not sink to the floor (I'm 5'4", 120 lbs). All in all, they are great for the price. Packaging was great and I did not notice a strong smell after a day or two. The covers are fanstastic! The sewn in handles makes it so easy to transfer from room to room and the fabric is high quality.

The Lucid 4 inch Folding Mattress and Sofa has met my expectations, and beyond. The only complaint that I have is the strong odor that it has. It smells like it came from China, 'cause I have ordered other items from China, in the past, and they have smelled equally as bad, but because my daughter and I sleep on it, it's rather overwhelming, and I'm now wondering if the odor will go away over time. Hopefully so.The offensive odor is now gone, but the a section of the cover.I'm going to reach out to this customer, and tell them that I want to exchange it out for another one that has a cover that won't begin to unravel after a month or so. It shouldn't unravel at all.

We've been using a couple of these mattresses for a few years, and also ones from another manufacturer. The Lucid mattresses are comfortable, and it can be convenient to fold them into the "couch" configuration for sitting. However the handles are poorly sewn, and have a tendency to rip off. They are also a couple of inches shorter than other brands.I recommend buying a mattress with a well-made cover, a simple trip-fold that is full-length.

love love love. fits PERFECT in our redone 1978 Toyota Chinook. replaced the old fold out bed. we got two and stack them to make our super comfy bed. if they ever come back in stock - id buy one for the house!

This mattress is pretty comfortable considering how thin it is. It feels like it's only about 3 inches thick, not the advertised 4, but I'm pretty pleased with it nonetheless. I ordered it for some guests to sleep on for 4 nights, and they were pretty comfortable. I have slept on it a few times and got a good night's sleep on it. I recommend throwing a thick comforter or mattress pad over it for added comfort when using it as a bed. As a sofa, it's small, really more appropriate for kids, or dogs (my dog loves it). It does have a slight chemical odor, but with a sheet over it, I don't notice it. The exterior fabric is an attractive color, but the texture is rough and I would not be comfortable using this without a sheet.

Read all the reviews and was a little concerned about quality. While we haven’t used it yet I can say so far that all sections “inflated” to the full 4”. Two of the zipper openings have stitching at the very end that look suspect but there is an area just above that has several rows of stitches that look to prevent any unraveling. We will throw a couple of extra stitches in there just in case. Overall quality looks to be good and mattress seems to be dense enough for an adult. Ours will be used for kids sleeping on floor.

The over all function and form of this flip couch is what I was looking for. It’s light weight, compact, and very comfortable for adults and children alike. I just learned of a recall of the product due to the materials being highly flammable. I hope the company does better with quality control moving forward.

After opening it from the box one of the zippers fell off. Then after the 48hrs was up we flipped it over and another zipper fell off. Apparently this mattress comes with a 3 year warranty. Not impressed with the quality of this mattress. We shall see what this company does in regards to customer service.
