cheap pads
All 5 color pads seem to feel the same so I'm not sure if you're going to get more cut or polish ability from pad to pad. They do feel like good quality for the price paid and the amount you get.I hope to update my review after using a few of these pads.

Works great
I think these pads are great. I've used and wash them a few times and seem durable. I used them with the 1-2-3 3M liquids and compared them to those pads. I numbered these pads based on the liquids numbering. My # / Color / Grit / Firmness / Type / Use1 / Orange / Medium / Hard / Flat / Compounding1.5 / White / Soft / Hard / Flat / Compounding or Polishing2 / Yellow / Soft / Soft / Waffle / Polishing2.5 / Black / Ultra Soft / Soft / Flat / Polish or Swirl Mark Removal3 / Blue / Ultra Soft / Soft / Waffle / Swirl Mark Removal

Good cheap pads
I bought these to use primarily on trim and lights, but I have used them on small painted sections. I attach them to my Adam's mini Swirl Killer and I've been pretty happy. They've held up pretty well, but like any foam pad, they will rip if you go over a corner. I had a few of them lose chunks, but that's to be expected. My only grip is that there's too much of a gap between the black, white, and orange foam densities. The black and white are very soft, but the orange is almost too stiff. If you're using a 3" polisher, it's because you're working around tight angles and obstacles. For that reason, you really only need soft pads. They're still a good bargain.
