I normally buy knife sets when I wear one out as we all know how quickly some of the knives and shears lose their ability to make a clean cut and start tearing up your food. My problem is that people in the house tend to grab the old shears to cut coupons, paper and food packages. I purchased these and have kept them hidden so nobody else can find them. These shears are super sharp and cut through a chicken with ease. These shears make breaking down a chicken much faster and with nice clean cuts making it look like a real chef has broken It down. I was not left with shards of bone or broken bones after I was done. The blades are very sharp and provide a locking feature that helps to keep the shears closed when they are not in use. The angle of the blades makes it much easier to angle your sears around the bone. These shears are great for other things like pork, and fish to get the perfect time and time again. In my opinion they should be hand washed.

This product is pretty much junk. The wood handle doesn't fit properly and some metal is exposed on the top and bottom. The edges of the wood are also not rounded or beveled so have a square edge that is uncomfortable in the hand. The blades had several nicks and one good sized dent in them. The blades also had some oxidation on them which is a sign of that high quality Chinese steel. Other than that they aren't very well balanced but they cut things like paper, string, and the odd plastic shrink wrap just fine. Oh, they also don't fit very well in that knife block scissor hole.The only redeeming factor of these "scissors" is the back of the package. It's written by someone in China who has never seen English before and ran this through a beta version of the Chinese version of Google Translate. The grammar and spelling are atrocious. The funniest bit is when, in the same line, they spell stomach both the correct way and then as "stomack". The laugh factor is almost worth the purchase price.

Nice shears for the kitchen. I do a lot of BBQing and trimming and prep is always necessary. These shears make it easier. They easily cut through chicken bones when parting them out. And the best part is they come apart so you can properly sanitize them to prevent contamination.

I bought these for my son to cut chicken. He said they were great. Made it very easy to get through the bones.

Heavy duty poultry shears. No name and no frills but a good addition to your everyday kitchen utensils

Lets start off with my ONLY complaint:These guys are SLIPPERY when your hands are wet (or covered in chicken/turkey guts)I ended up wrapping them in a paper towel and it gave me all the grip I needed to slice through breat bone and ribs of a 17 pound turkey. Very little warping or deflection for cutting through bones. Ironically, it doesn't do well for cutting through plastic packaging etc. Bone and meat only!For the price, Worth every penny. Last thanksgiving I attempted to use generic thick sissors and nearly chopped off my fingers. I dulled 3 knives and then finally karatae chopped the bird to break the bones needed. This year, with these shears it was 10 times easier. (actually 20 times easier... took me 60 seconds instead of 20 minutes)Sadly, Family was much less amused as there was no antics trying to spatchcock the bird this time.Anyway, No Brainer,Generic Shears that are a must of you cook full birds.

I am making my own raw dog food and had high hopes for these shears. I thought they would be able to cut through small bones like chicken wings and would be able to cut through meat with ease. How wrong I was. These shears can't cut through a sheet of paper little own a piece of meat or small bone. They are less than useless. STRONGLY recommend you buy anything else - your fingernail will cut better!

Great product. I don't use them often but when I do they're worth their weight in gold. I broke so many kitchen scissors before I purchased these. They easily cut through the back bone of a chicken with ease.

This shears is worth the money. It is a good tool in my kitchen. The metal is shiny and sharp, easy to cut chickens and ribs. The shipment was very fast, love this stuff.
