JJRC H31 Waterproof Drone no Camera ，Headless Mode and One Key Return Feature Rolling RC Quadcopter (white)

Newby alert! I love this quad, takes a licking and keeps on kicking... This was my first and third purchase for a quad, so here are the pros and cons.Pros: Great for beginners as it was easy to learn how to fly. Can’t beat the price for what you get, still amazed. Battery life was as advertised, you can get about ten minutes of flying time. I mainly was just learning to hover and go side to side, no tricks or crazy speed records set.Cons: Too big for inside, too small for outside. Messed up by taking it outside on a slightly windy day, a gust of wind came through and it went out of range of the controller. *** Then SPLASH ***, while it is waterproof, it sank before it could be retrieved. So, ordered another one, why? This thing is awesome and only $30 bucks. If you are a beginner, my advice would be purchase jjrc H36 first, they are cheap and made to fly inside. Once you master flying them, you will have no trouble flying this. Also always, always order at least 4 extra batteries for your quads, they are cheap and you have plenty of flight time between charges.

Okay, first of all, for the price, you kind of get what you pay for. On that level, I believe this is a good buy. The charging and battery life are about what you would expect. Flies okay. You do have some trim adjustments that work fine. The controller is light and feels cheap. The unit itself is lighter than I thought it would be and seems to be durable as I have crashed it quite a few times with no issues with it. On that note, it has some issues...but not from crashes. This thing can handle almost zero wind. If you are going to fly it, it will have to be in a very large indoor space or on a relatively calm day and I highly recommend you do it in a very large open space. I used mine one day with maybe a 5 mph wind outside and had just taken it above the trees and I could not recover the unit. It was fighting against the wind and ended up on the other side of our wind break in the corn field. (to which I found it by running the propellers on and off. lol) Also, it does not hold it's place well. It is more difficult to control. The unit does what it says well with what it has onboard to help it. It's light weight and lack of stability because of that and because of the lack of features much more expensive drones offer, cause it to be difficult to fly. However, as a cheap introduction to learn a lesson or two or for kids that aren't likely serious about such an item to kind of get their feet wet, this can be a good cheap starter. Just don't let it discourage you from buying a more serious drone because this is definitely more difficult to fly than those! Battery life is decent and the recharge time is acceptable. I'd suggest buying an extra battery or two if you want to keep flying longer.

This is the fourth drone I've bought. The other three drones were around twice the amount of money, and they were all terrible. I decided to give it one last go and buy this drone for $30. I didn't expect much from a drone so cheap, but I went with it. It arrived and right out of the box it was a charm. It didn't crash itself, or drop out of the sky like the previous three had. I've probably crashed it 15 times because there is no altitude hold like the previous three,(had to get used to it) but it survived every time with minor scratches. JJRC claims it's waterproof. I was hesitant, but today I splashed it for the first time, and it worked fine after.When the drone is in the third speed it rotates like crazy. I love how it does that, it is fun to spin around and mess with.There are two cons with this drone that can be easily worked around.1. There is little low battery warning. The only warning is faster flashing lights, which are hard to see in daylight and the drone lights flash slower when it's not at low battery.2. When you don't have the prop guards on the motor gears are exposed, making it easy for dirt and dust to get in your gears. I fixed this by cutting just the caps and screwing them in.In general this is an amazing drone for the price. It is packed with features that make it a very fun, fast flyer. Spare parts are readily available and cheap. 100% would buy this drone again. Amazing product.

after 5 flights one of the motor gearsets is growling and it is also yawing to the left...the trim cannot compensate..i have 2 hubsan x4s and after more than 100 flights absolutely no issues so on day two i am disappointed..the sad part is that it is an excellent flyer but now it seems like a matter of time before it goes bad because the gear noise is getting louder. now here is the bad part on the sixth flight this excellent little flyer decided to find a new home. i had just put on the 3 bladed props and the growling in the gears was significantly diminished although i still need to trim it considerably to keep it from moving to the right, when i got my first fly away...gone back to china or where ever..i fly real close in practicing for fpv flight so it was not a matter of flying out of range...one minute i am turning and banking, next minute my jaw is dropping as my new bird is headed for the stars..so there goes another $24..and the disappointment of losing what i thought was an improved flyer

his is my second waterproof drone I have from GoolRC and JJRC . I highly recommend this drone as it is so fun so durable and so waterproofI have the red one and white one.and I already flew the red one in rain, have stomped it and threw it down and it didn’t even scratch it and it flew perfectly with no problems. This is real deal drone for beginners to pro caus it is so fun and flys better than some drones I have had. I am going to post a you tube video on how to start out flying cause I read so many people who said it flew away and it isn’t s fast and you have to be easy in engaging throttle or it will fly away. Don’t worry I will do it to help others see what NOT TO DO.Thos drone is a high performance waterproof drone. Nuff said. 😆
