Quite, Excellent Size, Soft Ice
I had a much larger unit from another manufacturer for years that took up way too much space and stayed stored in our utility room unless we had an event planned. This MRP unit appealed to me because of its size. I could put it on the kitchen counter and leave it there. To my delight, I found that it worked great and was very convenient. Because of its small size and quite operation, I leave it out all the time and it supplies me with my daily ice needs (I prefer its ice to that made in the refrigerator because it is softer).I started to remove a star because the timer is very difficult to use. It doesn't appear to be recurring and must be set each time (I could see some value to having ice every day at a certain hour.) But I really didn't need a timer all that much anyway, so I left the rating at five stars. This unit also seems to make as much ice with only 9 freezing units as my old unit that had 12 freezing units, an early concern that proved to be unfounded.I haven't experienced the recurring beeping that some folks complained about. When mine fills up or runs out of water, it beeps one time only.

-) The good news is the built-in cleaning cycle program works well ...
A solid product that makes ice quickly. Yes, it beeps - when it turns on, when it turns off, when it gets low on water, etc., but we've gotten used to it. makes three sizes of bullet ice cubes. Timer allows for operation only when you want it - for example, in the late afternoons and evenings in a media/entertainment room. Keep in mind these do have to be cleaned about every week to prevent build up of mildew - which makes the ice cubes (and, therefore your beverage) taste funky. Figured that one out the hard way :-) The good news is the built-in cleaning cycle program works well - just need to mix 50/50 water/vinegar solution and let it run through the cleaning process (I do it several times, then wipe down the reservoir thoroughly, drain it, fill it back up with water and rerun the cleaning cycle several times to rinse, then let it drain again). The run the basket that holds the ice through the dishwasher (top rack). What would be nice is if the timer/programming wouldn't erase when it's unplugged for a few minutes or when the power goes out - that's kind of annoying. Other than that, it's been a great little machine at a reasonable price.

Overall Construction is of bad quality and very loud
For the price I expected better quality. First it is very loud (the other ice maker I had was twice as quite). The words "Ice Maker" that are lit up on the front are crooked and half the word Ice is hidden. The LED window does not stay lit so what is the point of setting the clock on it to try and use it when you can't see it. Instructions are hard to interpret (and I am fairly sure that I am smarter then an ice maker). But the worse thing is about every couple of hours the ice maker beeps 5-8 times just beep beep beep beep beep beep. I go over to see what it wants and it tells me nothing more. It has water, it is making ice, and it seems to be cycling and running correctly. The timer is not set so that is not it. So I am now off to Google to try to find out what beeping means and more importantly how to stop it because it is ANNOYING. Save yourselves, find another ice maker, I do not recommend.

Soft and tasty ice
This is a great tabletop ice maker. We use filtered water and the ice tastes great. We turned off the ice maker in our refrigerator. Now we just dump ice from the tabletop unit into the refrigerator dispenser. The ice is soft too. As others have said this is not a freezer. The ice will eventually melt if not placed in a freezer. This unit does keep ice cold for several hours. It makes three different size cubes and has an automatic cleaning function. All in all I think it is a great value. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it included a freezer bin.

Decent for the price.
Sweet little machine that let's us put or FIJI water in it and make less toxic ice. Doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of the more expensive machine but for the 5 months we've had it, it has held up. Not a variety of ice types, and the ice does stick together in the freezer but whatever. Affordable and does the job.

Three Stars
The ice really sticks together when you transfer it to freezer.

Exactly what I was looking for.
When we moved to our new home, we realized that the kitchen was not set up for the fridge's automatic ice maker, and setting it up was cost-prohibitve.I bought bagged ice for 2 years, but winced about the plastic waste every single time. Finally was able to purchase one, and it's my favorite self indulgence.Environmentally friendly choice - fewer regrets! Easy to use - lift a lid, pour some water, scoop. Easy to manager - reminder alerts!I love that I don't have to ask, "Who didn't fill up the ice trays?" (Over and over and over and over.) Ice is essentially just...there.As a bonus, the cubes are perfect. We chose the smaller size. My daughter loves that they fit easily into her water bottle. My son loves that, when they start to melt, they are similar to his favorite "ice puffs" (what he calls ice nuggets/hospital ice.)And it's going strong so far.I know it seems silly or superficial to consider this an essential appliance. But it really is those little things, especially those that encourage healthy habits, which bring satisfaction to hectic families.Thank you!
