Coffee Vault Keeps Both Whole Beans and Ground Coffee Fresh The Coffee Vault canister set includes one medium canister for whole beans, one small canister for ground coffee, and two custom-sized scoops that attatch to each container. If your coffee is fresh, it'll be degassing. That's why the lid of each coffee container includes a unique, one-way valve that both allows the CO2 from fresh coffee to escape AND prevents outside air from entering to destroy your flavor. Whole bean coffee stays fresh longer than ground coffee because less of the bean's surface is exposed to air. The moment you grind your beans, you accelerate the staleness process. With the Coffee Vault canister set, you’ll keep your whole beans fresh even longer! Just store the beans in the medium container, then grind them as you need them, storing the fresh ground coffee in the small container. Coffee Scoops Included! Save Counter Space & Never Lose Your Scoop Our compact, square containers are designed to save counter space. And you'll want to keep them on your countertop because they look so great! Each canister comes with a custom-sized coffee scoop. The scoop attaches to the side, so you’ll never lose it! Storage Requirements for Coffee Your coffee has been roasted. The roasting process caramelizes the sugars in coffee beans and forms essential oils. These sugars and essential oils give coffee its varying flavor and aroma profiles. After roasting, four things diminish the flavor your coffee: Light - Glass jars let light in, harming the flavor of your beans Air - Bags or non-airtight canisters let in flavor-diminishing air Moisture - Outside air lets moisture build up, weakening the flavor CO2 - Fresh beans release CO2, which must be vented Coffee Vault blocks out moisture, light, and air. Plus, it vents CO2.

Nice set for someone who is only storing a 12oz bag of whole beans/grinds
I just received this coffee storage set, and it's perfect for my use. I only wanted two things in a coffee canister set - a vent for CO2 and a way for me to store SMALL quantities of ground coffee while also keeping the leftover beans relatively fresh. (I know you're supposed to freshly grind coffee for the best taste, but the grinder is the last thing people in the house need to hear each morning.)It is a little peculiar that the sizes of each container aren't advertised currently. The large container is smaller than other storage solutions I've seen (I usually see 16+ oz containers). I'm going to guess it's around 10oz. For me, this is not a problem because I'm not going to have more than a 12oz bag of beans open at a time. I just cracked open a 12oz bag, and the whole bag definitely did not fit into the larger container. However, I promptly put the leftover beans in my grinder and I got exactly enough for a 12-cup serving. The resulting ground coffee filled about 1/3 of the smaller container. With this in mind, if you're only going to have a small 12bag of beans open at a time with a small amount of ground coffee to get you through a week, this is perfect. The little scoops are indeed a custom size as mentioned on the product page. They're just a little bit smaller than a tablespoon, which may or may not be useful depending on how you make your coffee. I just need 2-3 tablespoons of ground coffee to make my coffee in the morning, so the scoop is nice for the smaller container, but a little too impractical for the larger container. I'm not going to use a tablespoon to measure out whole beans.I can't speak for the vent yet (I'll update if I notice the beans getting stale before I can finish a bag). However, since it can only store a small bag of beans and associated grounds, I doubt I'll keep the coffee around long enough to notice a flavor impact.

Does NOT hold a pound of beans!
Hoping that this will provide airtight storage for my gourmet coffee beans. I like that it came with a mini container for grinding my beans, I do this the night before to make mornings less hectic and this way the beans that I ground should stay very fresh. The main container holds roughly 3/4 of a pound of coffee beans.

coffee vault canisters
I like that the product has a locking lid with a cute spoon on the side. However, I would have liked them even better if they were bigger. Having said that they were the size advertised, I am just not good at visualizing dimensions sometimes. The smaller one is perfect for sugar and the taller one is an okay size for coffee.

Super cute and fell apart upon opening
I liked the design and especially the scoops on the side. I opened them up to wash out and the lid which is meant to be attached permanently on one side, fell off. Disappointing.

Nice
I like these to hold my coffee beans and the fact that they come in two sizes. They were just a lot smaller than I expected which is probably my fault for not examining the size before ordering. Otherwise looks great and seals the coffee really well!!

Smaller than I expected. Partner really likes them. Will need to polish them as finger prints show on them. They look nice. I may try other makes as they hold more beans.

The cans are adequate but nothing special. Too expensive ...
The cans are adequate but nothing special. Too expensive for what they are. Does not seal well enough to keep the coffee fresh.
