Good quality and value
These bags work great for me. I use them when I have something small to freeze and don't want to drag out my big Foodsaver. Bought them several months ago and have had no problems with the quality.

No more freezer burn
Great product. I use this product to prevent freezer burns on my meat. I buy in bulk and use these bags to separate the meat. So easy to use and I had no trouble with bags not performing correctly.

Night sturdy bags for storage but otherwise useless
At first, these bags are impressive but after a few hours, they start to lose the vacuum. I tried using two different bags, closing them securely with the tool and the next day there the same as before you start. Night sturdy bags for storage but otherwise useless.

Glad I bought it.
I'm glad I bought this as a "test" to see if I would use a vacuum sealer very often (before spending $100 or more on a Food Saver). It turns out I am using it fairly often, that it works just fine, and since I'm only feeding two people and don't have a large home garden, it's all I need. Once in a while the pump doesn't seem to work, but it's always been "user error" because of not being sure the top seal on the bag was completely closed before pumping. It does take a lot of pumps if you don't have the bag very full, but it's not that hard to pump except for the last couple of push/pulls. I'm of retirement age, and have found that if I put the bag on a lower surface (not the kitchen counter but on a table), it's easier for me to operate. It really does keep food fresh longer, and I've done a few frozen meals and it definitely prevents icing up and freezer burn.I'm giving it four stars because it doesn't seem overly sturdy, but I'm sure it will last long enough for me to get my money's worth. And I love that it doesn't take up any real space in the kitchen. If this eventually breaks, I'll probably just get another one. Oh, and I purchased extra bags from Amazon--it's a nice assortment of 10 bags for $10.

Easy to get all the air out!
I needed to have a bag that I could keep my orchid fertilizer in - that no air could get in to make it clump. This is perfect. The pump or vacumee pump works perfectly, and I can get ALL the air out and end up with what is nearly shrink

Works well as a Much Cheaper Alternative to an Elaborate Vacuum Sealer Machine
I'm pleased with this little guy. No, it's not quite as effective as a true vacuum sealer but I can still achieve a tight vacuum and it is obviously much cheaper and doesn't occupy any counter real estate. I can get a good suction and it stays sealed well. The bags are good quality. I intended to get this while we determined if we were going to actually use our sous vide for more than just a week or two before I invested in upgrading to a full blown vacuum sealer. I'm content with this for the long term.Give it a shot. Save some money.

Not the best
This wasn't really what I expected. The seals wouldn't hold and the bags were a pain to clean. The pump was also hard to use a lot of the time. If you truly want a vacuum sealer, I think it might be better to just go for the name brand ones.

Good to dip your toes into the vacuum-bagging routine.
When I bought this, my use cases were pretty typical vacuum bag use cases: blocks of cheese, frozen cuts of meat, etc.At this point, I have used them for almost nothing else, but I use them extensively for cheeses. The bags are sturdy-feeling, and I haven't had many problems with them. They are re-usable, but you should probably take care to keep bags separate by food category. These bags aren't easy to clean if something has smeared on the inside, and they're even harder to dry. For things like raw meat that can be cleaned simply by hot soapy water flushing out the bag, no problem. However, fats will almost certainly require you to throw a bag out. Now, for the pump: it works. However, your arm will get sore, and you'll spend the first 80% of the pumping wondering if you sealed the bag, if the pump is making a good seal on the bag, etc., until the bag starts to visibly conform to the contents. Yes, I could get more air out of the bag, but that isn't always a real option, in the case of awkward blocks of cheese, or a gallon-bag full of soup stock. On my wish list for this system: a pump that's either bigger, or has a longer stroke, and for the bags to have some kind of connector, or some other kind of positive, physical attachment. It's very hard to tell when you've got a good air seal, and you have to be delicate; press down too hard, and you prevent the air in the bag from flowing to the valve.Overall, I would recommend if you are interested in seeing if vacuum-bagging your food makes sense to you, but I would not stick with this long-term, unless you are a glutton for forearm cramps or an incredible miser.
