LORAC PRO Matte Lip Color

I am leaving this product only 4 stars and it breaks my heart to do so - it deserves 5 as the color is the absolute perfect red and is my favorite of all time. The texture is silky smooth and the color lasts surprisingly well with only the occasional touch up needed. However, this is the second time I've purchased this item due to the lipstick breaking off inside the tube and dislodging then getting lost somewhere, as if it fell out. This has happened twice with each one I have purchased and I can't figure out why it is just with the Ruby. I've purchased Mauve and Pink Taupe with no issues, but TWICE this color has broken and detached leaving me with a completely empty tube. Very disappointing for an $18 purchase to only use a few times. I am reluctant to purchase again. Very sad because otherwise the product is flawless, but pretty useless if it doesn't stay intact.

The application is seamless and isnt too drying. I love that it drys matte. I have bought this same color about four times. I want to get more but need to go instore to find the right color match. I would highly recommend this for woman in all sorts of lifestyles. This color too I love because it works for EVERYONE. It changes on different peoples skin tones and really adds a subtle or more pink/taupe depending on your skin. Its my go to and my girlfriends always ask to borrow it.

I bought this knowing that it’s basically “drugstore makeup”. It’s not bad though. The colors is gorgeous on and really only requires 1 coat (if you don’t count reapplication). It definitely didn’t dry out like other matte lipsticks. My only issue is that it rubbed off... a lot. Literally the only draw back to this is the rubbing off. But it’s a fantastic color and pretty decent quality for its cheap price tag. Definitely good in a pinch

I had previously purchased three of these Lorac Pro Matte Lip Color and wanted to add another color to my collection. I have Ruby, Violet, Magenta, and now Mauve. Ruby is a yellow-toned red. Violet is a vivid but not too bright pink-purple. Magenta, my favorite shade, is a dusty medium purple berry shade. Mauve is a dusty pink color. In general, all the shades are pretty neutral, and I could use any of them for everyday wear.With this lip color, I have the control of a lip pencil and the creaminess of a lipstick. The color is matte and buildable to almost lipstick level pigmentation. However, the only color I'm finding not as buildable or pigmented as the other shades is the Ruby one. All of the shades I own are not long-lasting as claimed, but I'm almost always eating or drinking something that requires reapplication, so I don't mind. This formula is neither moisturizing nor drying, but it definitely does not work well with dry, flaky lips. Fortunately, I don't have this problem often and I can wear them without issue. The slim packaging makes it easy to carry either in my purse or next to my pens in my work bag. I can use this on its own, as a lip pencil underneath another lipstick or balm or even as a lipstick on top of an actual lip pencil. Most of the color selection is great for everyday use.If you like a dry, buildable formula perfect for everyday use, this is your product.If you prefer something more pigmented, I would recommend Lorac's Alter Ego Lipstick that has a similar dry formula that is more creamier and way more buildable and pigmented for the same price.If you prefer something creamier (and cheaper), check out Nyx's Simply lip creams.

This is my favorite color and shaved .. I loved it !! 10 out of 10 stars .

Very nice lipstick

Lorac pro matte is the best. The perfect compromise between the long term stay of a lip stain, but the smooth matte application of a creamy lipstick. Plus it smells like brown sugar. I have 5 shades and I want more. This wine shade is fabulous. It’s my third tube in the last two years.

My favorite lip crayon. Stays on for HOURS without drying my lips. If I feel dry a light chapstick bumps up the color and hydrates.
