Magic clips!
As first timers growing tomatoes and cucumbers in our new greenhouse, we are delighted with these clips, they are so quick and easy to attach to the string and the plant. Also avoids the possibility of stem rot starting under soft fabric ties. We had a damp summer last year in Wellington, New Zealand and several of our outdoor tomatoes succumbed to this. The affected plants all died quite rapidly. Have now changed to soft twine (as recommended by Monty Don) for outdoor tomatoes!!These clips are also quick to undo and take off if you decide to change the placement. Hoping they will last for a few years as others have said they will. Seem to be very good quality. Time will tell!

very helpful in gardening
These are the best new things I have tried this year. Lots of ways to use them with creativity while staking tomatoes. Mine are 12 feet tall and very secure. Easy to readjust, as I just lowered plants and stretched them out as I couldnt get to top. Credit goes to these clips. You won't regret getting them!

Clever Clips!
I tried these for the first time this season and just pulled them and the garden (Zone 5) and packed them back up until next spring. They did exactly what they were supposed to do and I'll be using them again next year. With the help of these clips my tomato plants grew taller than they ever have before and looked terrific, too. I can't see going back to cages again! I was even able to grow other veggies in quantities never attempted because they just wouldn't have fit in the space before using these clips.I ended up using more than I expected but still had plenty left in reserve. None were wasted/broken/unusable after removing them from the spent plants. These are a great find and I hope to get better at pruning the plants to optimize yield and asthetics.

Works super well!
Works great! However, do opt to get the proper twine. I attempted to use baler twine from our plethora of left overs. However this is a lot thicker than the intended twine and I had to try to separate and then weave the clip into the middle of the too-thick-twine which totally ruined efficiency and my winning streak of no foul language. Also, because of weaving the clips that way made them super hard to remove at the end of the season to use again and impossible to reposition. Vegetables are incredibly heavy once you are up a couple feet and they make the twine so taught you cant separate to get clips in and out. So DO NOT repurpose baler twine, buy the white garden twine like a smart person and save your money by saving time...and sanity. And yes, I have used the white twine in the past and it works sooo slick and fast with this little critters. Excellent invention!
