Enjoy your Bug FREE Zone!!
I have been having all sorts of flies and mosquito problems in my backyard lately and I'm so happy I found this zapper. This is literally the solution I've been looking for cause the bug sprays i got werent really working. It kills any bugs that touches it and all i need to do is just clean it out with a brush afterwards, (unplugged of course). Its rechargable so you dont need to worry about swapping out batteries. All you need to do is just press the power button to turn it on. It's pretty compact and lightweight so it's easy to move around, especially if you want to take it out camping too. The light is bright enough so theres no issue when it comes to attracting bugs. All in all, this was a great purchase for me and my backyard.

Zapped a swarm of indoor pests in one night!
I started noticing a bunch of gnats flying around in a couple rooms at one end of the house. I don't know how the "gnat community" works and whether they have queens or just mates or whatever, but it was such a large number of gnats that suddenly appeared within a week or so, I imagine it must've been a female gnat that snuk in an open door and then layed a bunch of eggs somewhere in one of those rooms. But during the day, I would see them zooming around and drove me crazy because they're just fast enough to either evade a swift clap and small enough to escape your ability to track their erratic flight through the air. Anyway, I noticed that every night they were attracted to the large mirror in the connected bathroom. They would land there and just sit there all night. I didn't want to spray bug spray all over the place around my bathroom sink and unfortunately, since the mirror is obviously glass, you can't simply smash them with your hand for fear of breaking the mirror. Plus, if I WAS able to kill one with my thumb or a hand towel, the rest would fly away and wouldn't land back on the mirror again for a while. So that is what lead up to my purchase of this bug zapper. The day this product was delivered, I cleared off my bathroom counter, plugged it in, and turned it on around bedtime. As usual, the gnats were all over the big mirror, so I swatted at the mirror to scare them off the mirror to get them flying around. I then turned the bathroom light off, left the bathroom and closed the door behind me.On top of the sleek design of this bug zapper, it is powerful! Within minutes, I started hearing it go to work, vaporizing the pests into oblivion as they flew into the UV light (the voltage arc is basically as loud as those little gunpowder poppers we used to throw when we were kids, so it's not something you want to have in the same room if your trying to rest or sleep). By the next morning, there were countless dead gnats in and around the zapper (many times charred exploded bits). Problem solved!I can think of so many times in the past when there was one or two pesky flies or mosquitoes in the house and I was lucky if I was able to keep track of them long enough and be quick enough to swat them in time before they zipped out of sight. This is the solution for all those times you find yourself being pestered by something so small that becomes the source of so much frustration.

It's small & portable AND NOT WORTH IT!
smaller than I thought it would be. yes, it is portable and it's quiet. It did have some charge to it when it arrived and set up where I wanted it to go. I turned it on, and it appears to have two modes, a low and high but you can just barely tell that. So, what's the point of having the two modes! I could not hear it, so that was nice, but I'd prefer to hear the zapping sound which would let me know that it is working. However, as far as how long did it last before having to charge up, I'd have to say maybe 2 1/2 to 3 hours approximately, not sure as after about 3 hours I realized it was no longer lit. How long does it take to charge up? Have no idea. It's been on charge now for approximately 30 minutes and I pushed the power button it lights up, so it can be used as if it is battery operated as well as an electrical plug-in type. Time will tell as far as How long it actually takes to just charge up without using during the charging time frame. There is no indicator light, to let you know that it needs to be charged and or that it's done being charged up.UPDATE: you can barely see the light where you plug in the usb cord, it's a tiny red dot to indicate it's charging, when that goes out it is done charging. The cleaning of this unit is easy, yet there appears to be no way to remove the dead bugs from the bottom part of the unit itself so guessing they would just stay there???? Unless you tilt it to or on its side to shake them out... so my bottom line is; if you only need something for just a few hours, this might fit the bill. if you are looking for something a bit longer term or lasting longer. I'd say keep looking. I will, but in the meantime, this will work on a temporary basis or a picnic outing.UPDATE: takes about 2 /12 hours to charge up and only works for about 2 hours to 2 1/2 hours. so, for the cost of this product NOT WORTH IT... KEEP LOOKING FOLKSUPDATE AGAIN: ITEM NO LONGER CHARGES OR WORKS. HAD FOR ALMOST TWO MONTHS..

it works!
They do a good job of killing all kinds of flies. Probably last around 2-3 years of constant use. Not bad for the price!

Worth it for killing bugs flying around inside the house
I am assuming it is working well as I see a lot of dead bugs around it.

Works fine at first, doesn't last.
It worked well for the first 6 months. By then the high voltage had started to drop. By 1 year, it no longer "zapped" bugsI'm going to try a different brand and see if I can get more than a year out of it. I don't like disposable purchases.
