Again, But Better: The Power of Negative Energy Balance

A heartwarming novel!
Recieved this book in good condition. Although it took way too long to be received, but the book itself was so good that i have no objection with the time it took to be delivered. There are so many twists and turns that one cannot help but just keep on reading. A must read for beginners, I'd say. Enjoy reading!!

No. This was not a good read.
I don't know why I feel like I am reading a badly written middle grade book instead of a young adult book. And everything has just been so convenient in this one. And the main character Shane is a bit shady and creepy to be with. I mean being an introvert and awkward is okay but this character is really unlikable. And I don't know what's the purpose of this book.Is it just to stay away from home because she has to tick off her to-do wishlist of things she couldn't do as a young girl or is she away from home to college with some other purpose?I don't like the writing style at all. It's too automatic and feels like 'too much of sweet and convenient recipes put together'.After the 3rd chapter, I felt like a little girl is just writing some things in her scrapbook.Ah, the chemistry! Too sugar-coated and bubbly.Everything seems too easy. Ok, maybe that can happen. But something does not tick with the writing style. It should be bubbling by the 4th chapter...but too bubbly to hold my interest. And what's this obsession to write about the Beatles in almost every chapter?! I know we all worship the inevitable but...it just starts to get annoying. Why does the 20 year old sound like a 6 year old?And it doesn't get better.(''Can I call you pies?'' I blurt into the night. ''Sorry. I wouldn't ask, but I really want to call you Pies,'' I finished hesitantly.)And something snapped in me. And I rolled my eyes and made the pointed-nose-tombed-lips-burning-eyes face when I am about to kill a book.Chapter 5. I am done. So done. I'd rather read a children's book and actually enjoy it.I struggled for 3 chapters before finally DNFing this one. I had to.So so so disappointed with this one.Hope the author would do great if she writes for younger age groups. She has the knack for it.I wish she did with this one. It would have been really good.
