M-POWER Diamond Cross 8" Bench Stone - 300/1000 Grit

I've been working with various makes and manufacturers of whetstones for the past 15 years--natural, synthetic, ceramic, diamond, polka dots--you name it. I have never encountered a stone that could reshape a chipped chisel/plane iron as quickly as this M-Power stone. It is a beast. I used the 300 side to repair a chipped, 2-inch wide chisel in no time flat. Admittedly, I didn't use the 1000-grit side of the M-Power stone at all because I used a few of the aforementioned stones to work my way up to 8,000 grit for a sharpness that easily shaved my forearm.This stone is a beast when it comes to quick steel removal. It's the best-cutting coarse-grit stone that I've ever used. I'm sure it will be great at quickly restoring those abused garage-sale chisels and plane irons that I occasionally bring home. I'm very happy with this stone.

Only ‘sharpened’ a couple of expensive Shun Damascus knives with honing oil while learning the technique using the plate. Results were very impressive. The quality is top notch and the pouch is really a nice touch.

Very easy to use no gritty feel and leaves an even finish

Nicely packaged with storage sheath. Looks like it will last a while.

Great product both sides are flat and it makes a nice edge on chisels and plane blades. Perfect for the final polish using compounds and leather straps.
