CHITourmaline Ceramic Series Flat Iron, Hair Straightener For Silky Smooth Hair, Ideal For Straightening Or Curling Hair, 1" Iron

I bought this to replace my 2nd herstyler straightener. I have VERY frizzy hair, which is fairly wavy and curly in spots. So, I straighten my hair both to leave straight, and to re-curl. So, I wanted a straightener that could curl as it straightens like my other one did to minimize the heat I put on it. Pic on the left is after 10 minutes of straightening/curling lightly. Pic on the right is my ridiculously frizzy hair combed out during air drying beforehand.This works great. It glides super smooth through my hair--much better than the her styler, has automatic shutoff--which is huge for me, and has a more rounded body so when I curl it doesn't crimp or leave marks in my hair. I was worried it would feel cheap, but it definitely doesn't. It isn't as "thick and sturdy" as the her styler, but is also not as heavy which is a plus. I like the long plates, dial, etc. I wish it went just a bit hotter, but after a couple of weeks using it, I'm getting used to going slightly slower and having the 410 temp which is probably better for my hair. It curls really nicely. I had to adjust my technique just a bit from my other straightener, but once I figured out how much to twist and how slow to pull, I'm really happy with it. I don't smell that "burn" smell that some people have mentioned. Maybe just a touch, but fairly minimal. Oh, and I really like how it feels in my hand. Its a good shape. Chord is perfect length--not too long, not too short. And, the heat resistent pad to set it on is a bonus, though it doesn't really lay flat.

I have an older model that died after six years. When I opened the new box, I was not impressed. I preferred the look of the older model. The newer model however, works significantly better and was less expensive. It straightened my hair faster. My hair has been perfectly straight all day - no frizz. I’m hoping this straightener lasts several years like the last one.

It works really well. I’m very satisfied with it. It made my hair really shiny. I really like the heat proof pad.

Heats up very quickly and great to use. The issue I have is the temperature dial moves very easily, and the temperature ends up changing every time I use it. The dial is on the side right where you hold onto it. I would not buy this design again.

The wife says she likes it works very well gets hot fast comes with a nice pad so that your surface that you put it on doesn’t burn as well. Well worth it.

My teenage daughter stole my original CHI flat iron from me (which is still working great after 5 years!), because the hcone I bought her "pulls the hair" she said, but the CHI does not. So, I let her keep it and bought myself another one. This one is exactly the same as the original. It works great, has excellent slip, and does not pull hair at all! It also heats up super fast, and I love that the temp dial has the numbers on it --unlike the other brand I bought previously. This one also makes hair shinier than the other brand. I highly recommend this flat iron, and would never buy any other brand again.
