Sharp, Sturdy, and Super Handy
I recently purchased the Chicago Cutlery Deluxe Multipurpose Stainless Steel Kitchen Shears with Built-In Bottle Opener, and they've quickly become an indispensable tool in my kitchen. The stainless steel blades are sharp and make cutting through meat, vegetables, and packaging effortless. I appreciate that they come apart easily for thorough cleaning, which is especially important when handling raw meat. The built-in bottle opener is a handy addition, saving me from searching for another tool when I need it. Overall, these shears are durable, versatile, and a great value for the price.

Love my Kitchen Shears!!!
This is the 3rd pair of these kitchen shears I’ve purchased over the years. They work great! I use them daily for multiple tasks in the kitchen. I like having 2 pairs at home and 1 at our camper. They are heavy duty but not so heavy in weight to make them cumbersome to use with small hands.I use them to cut open meat packages. They are awesome for cutting bacon into smaller pieces before frying for salads and casseroles. Also for trimming fat from cuts of meat. They come apart and back together easily for cleaning. I put mine in the dishwasher and have never had any discoloration rusting. I looked back and my last pair I purchased in 2022, they were getting dull so I ordered this new pair. I Will keep the older pair as my spare and sharpen them with my recently purchased sharpener with a scissor slot.

Wonderful design, great multifunction tool
I was introduced to these wonderful shears, as a food prep worker, about 15 years ago. I loved their multi-functionality and the fact that they easily come apart to be so easily and thoroughly cleaned, compared to most other food shears, then easily put back together. They stay sharp and, besides food, I’ve opened Amazon boxes (ahem) and those really annoying hard plastic over wrap thingies. Jar opening? A cinch. The screwdriver end can also be slipped into the space under a jar lid and very softly wiggled to decrease the suction and easily twist the lid open. The teeth between the handles can also open sauce bottles that you’d swear the manufacturer glued shut so you’d practically have to break the bottle to get your condiment out. Having the built-in beverage bottle opener is also a bonus. Besides the kitchen, it’s a very useful tool for the garden, hobby room, and garage. Made by Chicago Cutlery, which is very reputable for sharp objects, I believe that they also have a lifetime warranty and will be replaced or repaired by them, should you need to return past Amazon’s warranty period.

The scissors to end all scissors.
These are a must have for any kitchen. Sharp, stout, separate for easy cleaning, can cut chicken bones easily..... The list goes on. These are commercial grade scissors, and the only pair you need in the kitchen.

1 minor flaw
I love this. It works exactly how I'd hoped it would with 1 exception.Pros:Metal "frame" goes all the way through the handle. I had to buy this model because my previous Chicago Cutlery Shears had plastic handles that actually broke and we unusable. I bought these because of the designed handles. Sharp.Cons:I'm not a fan of the hitch in the blade for chicken bones perhaps. Previous model didn't have this and now I lose an inch or so when cutting. (See half-moon cutout in blade on image) This is a personal preference, so I didn't dock a star for it. You'll understand if you get them. The shears are separable by design, where the key locks into the hole. This is where they came up short. If I grab one handle of the shears out of the wood block and pull them out, it opens the shears fully, key disengages, and the other handle will fall where ever. In my particular case, it was a 6-month old wood floor that took the brunt of the sharp end. Yes, this pissed me off, but that was two months ago and I'm over it. (done venting) Seriously though, if you do not grab both handles at once, there is a great possibility of something of this sort happening to you. I usually have a 10 month old boy seemingly below my feet, following me around the house. It could have been worse than a wood floor.

At first thought they fell apart too easily; now good
Update 12/922019My husband is the chef in the family and loves how these come apart for cleaning, they have never come apart while using for him. I’ve used them a bit as well and they don’t come apart. Maybe when I first tried them I was opening up my hands too wide. Anyway, happy with them now, changing from 2 to 5 starsOriginal review 9/5/2019Have a pair of Chicago Cutlery scissors that are 2.5 years old and after sharpening numerous times, they are still dull and a frustration to use. I reached out to the company, hoping a warranty would lead to replacement but they said since it's not "defective" I should just go get them sharpened.Decided to just get a new pair instead of constantly sharpening the scissors we have, and was so excited to try them. Put them in my hand and gave them a go, and they fell apart! They come apart easy for cleaning, which I suppose is fine, but this limits the range of motion. I added a photo showing the widest you can open them before they come apart.Sure maybe you won't need to open them that wide to cut something, but I find when I reset the scissors in my hand I naturally open them to get ready to cut, and these fall apart on me.They seem high quality, sharp, and I love that they are serrated. Not sure I will be able to use them since they keep coming apart on me! Am I missing a snap off cover?
