Not powered by solar energy
If you are considering buying this unit because of what the descriptions says about solar energy "Stanley digital portable power station uses solar energy to provide up to 8 hours of home or office power." DO NOT do it. This unit DOES NOT have solar panels or cells to allow it to use solar power. The box does not say anything about solar power (nor the manual). The Digital compressor is a nice feature but the air nozzle does not seem to be sturdy. I've only used it about five times. The LED light is not bad but it seemed that it was depleting the battery, from the pic on the lcd display, quickly.Have not used the other features. In the end im not that impress with it and will be considering a cheaper model with higher amps and without an lcd display now that this one does not have the solar power ability/option.

Can't start a dead truck
My truck battery died and so decided to invest in one of these for emergency uses. Product arrived a couple days later and when I went to jump start my truck all this unit did was to give a open circuit error. I eventually ended up borrowing and using a good'ol jumper cable and the truck started up on the first crank. I tried this product on another car I had which still had a good battery to see if I just got a defective unit but no open circuit error with that one. So this was giving a false 'open circuit' error, and maybe the truck battery was "too" dead? Whatever the reason, it sort of defeats the whole purpose of having this if it can't do a simple jump start. I should have listened to all the bad reviews. But once again, Amazon proved itself and got a refund with a simple painless call to customer service.

Outstanding Product!!
Excellent product... Used numerous times for simple tire inflation, bike, car and truck @ 65 psi.. set pressure and leave it.. stops automatically!!! great when snow on ground!! Also used several times to jump my car and bro-in-laws truck when batteries dead... Saves lots of time and $$$$$, when dont have to call for a tow truck or a jump... In this case, use once and it pays for itself!!!!Love it!!!!!!!!

Handy
This product does everything it says it does. We have not used all the attachments but it has charged an ipod, operated a little vac and inflated a tire. We are happy with it.

Keep one in the car.
I just spent the last week chasing down a short in my car, and all the while this guy was there to jump-start me whenever I needed it. I have used it to fill air mattresses and bike tires, and charge my gadgets on the road. I highly recommend getting this item or one very similar.

Stanley DPS109 Digital Portable Power Station - Jump Starter, Compressor and Power Inverter
THIS UNIT HAS ALL OF THE OPTIONS THAT A PERSON COULD WANT. THE SIZE OF THE BATTERY THAT POWERS ALL OF THESE OPTIONS IS VERY SMALL WITH MINIMUM POWER FOR THEIR USAGE. I DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE AMP OUTPUT AND WAS EXPECTING A LARGER BATTERY FOR THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT AND SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE WITH LESS OPTIONS AND A LARGER POWER SOURCE.

Power station review
Overall I like it, documentation is sparse, LCD readout is very nice, my main complaint it it does not come with a 12V adaptor so it can be charged form a car 12V outlet.

Defective
It completely stopped working in just over a year. I only used it a few times and always stored it indoors.
