Baseball's biggest hitters choose maple for its harder hitting surface and greater durability. The genuine maple Series is pulled from their original production line for some minor flaw that will not affect the bat's performance. These small production errors mean deep savings on superior bats ideal for practice, batting cages or even games.

Does its job well!
So far so good! Haven’t use it in a league game or anything, but pickup ball with friends (softball and baseball) it’s been lasting really well! The cupped part is definitely splintering/chipping, but when it’s not on the diamond it’s making me feel safe in my apartment haha, would recommend for someone who wants a legit wooden pro bat, but not the huge price point. 34 is heavyy, def going to 32 next time.

I haven't gotten my bat yet but I had to chime in. All you people who are writing about the flaws should have read the description. it states that the bat is a manufacturer reject and could have minor flaws that should not effect its performance. At least that's what my seller description says. That's probably why it's $50 and not $60-70
