Easy perfect protection solution for a home with french doors in the front entry.
We knew the front doors with the "french doors" style was a definite weak point for potential break ins. I was looking for a solution that wouldn't entail drilling into our tile floors inside the house. This devise is the perfect solution and is so easy to apply and remove. My husband originally put it on backwards but just turned it around so the lighter colored lettering faces us inside the house and it works perfectly. Loved the quality and the way it looks. It's a great solution for adding protection to our home.

Works great!
4 months into using this product (on front double-doors with contemporary style handles), very sturdy, easy to use, and most importantly no need to drill holes for bolts and latches. My 15 and 13 year old kids use it easily (after a demonstration by me and couple of practice tries). And my 3-year old doesn't even have a chance. An intruder would have to break the door frame inside the walls before this thing gives. Safety for the intended purpose is excellent. They could use better packaging for the price, but that's secondary. I am really pleased.

A brilliant invention that should be more ubiquitous
After our toddler figured out how to unlock and open our French patio doors, we struggled for weeks trying all sorts of surface bolts, barrel locks, and other such things to secure them but nothing worked quite right with the ornate trim getting in the way. I thought, surely there must be an easier way? Turns out there is: the Patlock. It can be secured or removed in seconds and prevents the doors from being opened. Even better: it's easily portable to other double doors as needed. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Great added security to our outward opening doors.
This is perfect for our front doors that open out. I reversed the lock so the deep curve is on the inside of the handle and the shallow on the out. Our handles have a slight curve to grip. These fit perfectly over our handles. I removed the inside liner too. They lock very securely and easy to use.We feel much safer now that we know nobody can just pull open our doors.

Disappointed That It Didn’t Fit
I had to return the Patlock only because even when extended to its maximum length, it was too short for my door handles (each 4.5” from cylinder to tip of lever). I’m disappointed that I now have to start a new search for a French door security device, and there doesn’t seem to be many options available. I decided to write a review because the Patlock is a great additional security measure to add to your French doors. It’s sturdy, and would have offered great protection for my home. Very easy to secure, and the release buttons make it super easy to open. No locks or screws etc. to fidget with during an emergency. I gave it 4 stars only because the manufacturer would be well served to go back to the drawing board and extend the length of the device to fit modern longer door handles.

Works perfectly, even on my curved handles.
I was looking for some added security for my double front doors and the Patlock was exactly what I was looking for. Easy on, easy off and I feel much safer now. I'm going to order a second one for my french doors that lead to the backyard.

These are perfect! We are adopting a 2 year old and need to secure French doors going out to the pool. Doors were recently installed and drilling a more common lock would have voided the warranty; these are amazing, easy to install and she can not get out. I know they we're intended to prevent Bulgars but they are great for child proofing as well.

Just what I needed .
I just received and installed my Patlock . I have three sets of double doors . Two are the glass French Doors and one is a set of wooded double doors . I used them on my wooden doors because I had two small bolt pins that are pushed into strike plate one on the top and the other at the bottom of the door . Not to secure anyone could have kicked the doors open . There are two parts to the lock that are identical that lock into each other . To use just slip one half of the lock over your interior door handle lever and the other lock over the other handle lever and push towards each other until it locks. When you install them make sure that the cut out on each lock face the doors because it allows to to push then handles in further around the lever barrel .Push the button on both door locks at the same time and pull apart and the doors are unlocked. I tried them on my French Doors and slid on and off easier then my wooden doors . If you door handles levers have a large curve to them they might not fit . I just ordered two more for my French Doors .
