works to split to Yamaha rx-v677 and 4K HDR tv
I have an older surround sound system (Yamaha rx-v677) that has 4K pass through but does not have HDR capacity. Used the blackbird to split signal to my 4K HDR Roku TV and to the Yamaha. It worked, had to try each output to see which one would be seen as primary output and now I just select that input on the Yamaha and turn on my 4k HDR Blu-ray player and see the HDR detected indicator on the TV screen. (if just using the Yamaha as pass through would not display a HDR signal detected). I'm using 4K HDMI cables as input from Blu-ray player and out to the TV, but a non 4k HDMI cable to the Yamaha surround sound system, Surround detects 7.1 surround signal and sounds much better then when Blu-ray player was connected directly to the TV and used 5.1 ARC (audio return channel) back to the surround system. Now have great sound and great picture.

HDCP error? Here's an affordable fix.
Roku stopped playing movies from personal media due to hdcp error. The older TV was from 2007 and not a smart tv and couldn't "authentic" anymore (over hdmi) due to an update the roku got. The non smart tv had no update to resolve the issue since it wasn't sorted any longer. After some research found a product like this would resolve the issue. Well I've used and trusted monoprice products before and it had good reviews. This was an excellent purchase as it resolved the issue without any further issue. It has been used for months without problem. The other solution of course was to replace the TV and frankly it works, no need to replace. Would recommend this product if running into same issue.

IT would be fine if it took AA or AAA batteries
I got this because I had to send in my Receiver for repair and I wanted to retain my ability to switch sources in my rack. For the most part it works exactly as expected. I only had two issues:1. No battery for the remote. IT would be fine if it took AA or AAA batteries, but CR2025 are not that common to have around the house. I ended up stealing one from another remote until I could get it set up with my Harmony Remote.2. The IR works with the Harmony Remote, but unlike my other devices I can't just jack in with a 3.5mm cable from my IR distribution system so I had to use the included IR receiver. Not a huge thing, but I wish it would work like almost everything else I have with an IR input like that.3. My Roku Ultra won't do 4k at all with this thing. Granted, I'm not blaming this switch for this, I think it's actually the Roku. I had lots of troubles getting my Roku Ultra to work with my Receiver as well and it took a magic combination of cables and inputs on the Tv and Receiver to get it to work. Once again, I think this is the Roku's fault. Also note that my Roku is at least a 75-85' cable run from the TV. I use Monoprice fiber optic cables though and everything else works except a chromecast ultra, which also has problems. For instance, my Xbox One X has no problem doing 4k@60 with HDR through this.Over all I would recommend this in general. If you are using a Roku Ultra, I think it would work fine over shorter cables, though I have not tested this out.

Perfect!
Used this to replace a Monoprice HDMI splitter that was about 10 years old. This new version is smaller and works every bit as good. I have multiple long HDMI runs coming out of this and all work great with no signal issues.

Won't do 4K!!!!
Bought this to split the HDMI feed into separate feeds for the Audio and Video as our new TV does full 4K HDR10, but my AV receiver will only do 4K and not pass thru HDR. Connected fine, but would not send 4K to the TV or receiver and kept down scaling to 1080P. Setup was a bit finicky at best as it would sometimes recognize the HDMI feed and sometimes not respond and I would have to reset/unplug the adapter. I'll be living with just 4K for now and purchasing a new AVR in the near future that can passthru HDR to our TV and not messing around with this or other adapters.

Works great - Splitting Directv to 3 TVs
I am using this to split one single, from Directv to three different TV's. Works great, does stutter a little, and I lose the picture on the main TV for a couple of seconds when I switch on one of the secondary TV's, I guess that it is search for and checking out resolution, it comes back after a couple of seconds. A small annoyance, but I am normally setting up in advance, so this isn't an issue.

Works as described
Works as described. No problem connecting the HDMI cables to it and same quality after the split. It is fairly small and light weight. I wonder if it could be designed to have a way to screw it down. I will just zip tie it down.

Great HDMI splitter
Monoprice always has good products at good price. Bought another Chinese version of an 1x4 hdmi splitter off amazon, it was dead on arrival, should have spent $4 more and bought this monoprice unit from the beginning. If you need to split one HDMI source (like firestick or cable box) to up to 4 different tvs, this is what you need.

4K HDR ATMOS Switch Beast!
This thing is awesome. I tried other switches and they either didn’t work or kept cutting out for hdr 4k. With this switch I was able to pass through not only HDR 4K 60 but also Dolby Atmos. Used amazon basics 4k newest cables, Apple 4K(ATMOS!), PS4 Pro. Well done. Highly recommended. Been using it for a few months now without any issues.

Me funciono perfectamente!

Finally A Device That Works As Advertised
Tried a few of these switch boxes with lots of issues. They claimed 4K UHD but never delivered. This switch works perfectly for every 4K device / signal I tried. As many have stated, these are the ones to get.

Actually works
Unlike a lot of the less expensive splitters that claim to support 4k@60hz,HDR, etc... this one actually does what it claims. Works perfect w/ Xbox one s & Sony X900E.
