JS3000 12V 3000A Battery Booster Jump Starter Pack for Up to 9L Gas/ 7L Diesel Engines, Portable Car Battery Charger with Handle Jumper Cable and EVA Protection Case

This bumper box is awesome for the most part. It’s compact enough to carry anywhere- fits under a seat or in a trunk no problem. Like stays on the top of my tool box. Cable length is long enough to reach even heavy duty top wing nut batteries. It works, and it works AMAZINGLY WELL. Attach the cables and the unit auto detects the battery. If it’s low, hold the boost button and start the vehicle. You have about 15 seconds of start time before the boost feature disables.The limited boost time is one of the things I don’t like about it. The jump pack stops throwing voltage after the boost cycle, meaning that if the battery doesn’t have enough charge, everything shuts off. It would be nice to have a fast charger to come with it.That being said, this thing is an awesome value for the money. It started a completely dead 6.7 powerstroke f450. I mean completely dead- oth batteries had 1.5 volts. It started a 7.3 powerstroke that has been sitting on the lot for 5 years. I had to use the pack twice, because the first time was just for fuel priming. Started the truck up both times without issue. If it’ll do that old 7.3, it’ll do any regular vehicle you want it to. It also has emergency lights, and can double as a power pack.

I thought I should write a review of the TOPDON JS2000 even though I have not had the need to use the jump starter feature. TOPDON is not the best known brand of jump starter sold on Amazon. I found the TOPDON line of jump starters after having purchased a TOPDON battery tester and being very satisfied with their battery tester.I have purchased the JS2000 for myself and also as gifts for new drivers of older vehicles and older drivers of new vehicles. If you are still using jumper cables, stop now and get this jump starter.Every JS2000 comes with an enclosed card that informs the recipient that they can extend the warranty from 12 mos to 24 mos by sending TOPDON the Amazon order number and the serial number found on the back of the JS2000 jump starter.TOPDON currently offers three different capacity jump starters. The JS2000 is in the middle of the product line and I believe it is the best one for most people (size, weight, capacity and being well fit for its intended purpose.)My experience with jump starters goes back over 20 years. Over that time I have helped other drivers with depleted batteries start their vehicles about as often as I have needed to use the jump starter on one of my own vehicles. So while the lower capacity JS1200 is probably going to be able to start your personal vehicle (especially a vehicle with a 4-cylinder engine) the next driver you help to jump start their vehicle using the TOPDON jump starter may have a vehicle with a larger engine. The JS2000 will almost certainly be able to jump start that vehicle too (OK maybe not a motorhome with a large diesel engine.) The JS2000 when 3/4 up to fully charged and not stored in sub-freezing temperatures should be able to jump start any passenger vehicle or light truck with no difficulty.) For jump starting larger vehicle engines TOPDON offers the JS3000.As noted TOPDON does not include an AC charging block with the JS2000, only a USB-C cable (actually the included charging cable has a USB-A connector on one end and a USB-C connector on the other end.) This cable may not meet your charging needs. For fastest charging from an AC outlet you want an 18W AC charging block with a USB-C cable. (I found one I like on Amazon. Search for "USB C Wall Charger, 18W PD Adapter with 5ft USB-C to USB-C Cable Support Fast Charging".)Eventually I or someone I have gifted the JS2000 jump starter will use the jump starter and they will may let me know of their experience with the JS2000 so I can update my review. [Update 2-4-24: I used the TOPDON JS2000 to jump start a Kia or Hyundai SUV (might have been a Santa Fe); Connected the JS2000 and got the green light. The vehicle started on the first attempt. The temperature was right around 40F. The JS2000 was fully charged. Well done TOPDON.]

This thing is nice. Quite powerful. I had a car that was discharged so much when you tried to start it, all the dash lights went out. Barely clicked. Connected this thing, energized it, walked around to the drivers side, got in and the car started right up. And not chug-chug vroom, but vroom vroom. Man that engine spun fast. I carry it all the time now.

They work great I highly recommend it this is the 2nd one I have bought My son liked the first one I bought so I gave it to him and bought me a newone they are very easy to use I plan on getting 2 more for my daughter's

I am one of those people that research the heck out of everything which is why several people I know copy what I buy lol I spent hours looking at products and reading reviews, and this one seemed to have most of what I thought was good, especially after reading reviews of people that are mechanics or work with cars or by auction cars and are constantly trying to start them and move them around. One of the things I took away from the reviews is it’s nice to have it plugged directly into the charger and not have that extra little box in between that could cause issues at some point. Then there’s the issue and fear of overheating , this one has so many safety features that I think you can feel pretty safe the clamps are heavy duty, and it comes in a very nice hard case unlike some of the other ones. I like that it has an on and off button because one review I read another charger did not and the person thought that was good, but to always have it in some kind of ready mode sounds dangerous to me. Some of the other chargers people had problems with the boost button if it even came with one that it was a small button that was hard to access or push in. This has it right on the top and the indicators that let you know if you need to use it. The case has a carrying handle, the charger has a carrying handle and a hook and a stand. There’s nothing not to like. It came in 75% charged and went to 100 in no time. There was almost no detectable heat at all given off during the charging. They do have a lesser model (a 2000) but it has that in between box connector that I didn’t want, from what I read I think direct connection is best. Peace of mind since my Toyota continually draws from the battery as they do (2009 4Runner) used to be dead after about five days of not driving. Then I got a better battery than the AAA kind that’s lasts 2.5 yrs and can still strand you right after driving. I believe it was called EFG that is more powerful and I can easily go a week and a half without driving it. I have not pushed it past that but that battery also changed my life. Now I’m set and I don’t think I will be stranded anywhere!
