Captains Chair Indoor & Outdoor Bean Bag Chair, Taupe

These bean bag chairs are absolutely perfect! They look like a very designer brand $368 bean bag chairs but for a ton less! The designer chairs have red stitches on blue. I like these much better with a neutral rope stitch. The rope handle looks identical to the luxe brand. I was wondering if the quality would be there reading the other reviews about inconsistency in filling but took a chance. They arrived filled in the perfect amount for comfort and looks. My 3 kids love them. Light enough to move around but substantial looking and expensive looking not like a tiny cheap kiddie bean bag. They fit me comfortably as a 5 foot 1 adult. Absolutely thrilled with these bean bag chairs!

Actually bought these chairs to use on the bow of our boat or on the dock as they were cheaper than marine bean bag chairs and better looking. Although still a bit expensive for what they are, and not quite sure they are waterproof even though they state they can be used outdoors, hence the reason for removal of 1 star, they are nice. Lightweight, full of beads and easy to carry. You can sit more upright in them and it will support your back, or lay a little further down for a lounge experience. Overall generally happy with them considering the lesser alternatives.

We love these chairs! They look high-end but for a very reasonable price. Easy to wipe off. Sturdy yet comfy enough. Love the rope detail. Nice and light so easy to move around. Adults fit too.

This is a great update on the old bright colored, plastic bean bag chairs. The material is a durable, yet amazingly comfortable canvas. It is a chocolate brown with exaggerated twine stitching on the outside which gives it a very "man-cave" look. It is not your typical round bean bag and has a more boxy shape with a small back. There is a rope handle on the back of the chair which makes it extremely easy to carry or move from room to room. It is not my favorite chair because the back does not come up far enough to support my neck and head, but my children love it. It is advertised as an indoor/outdoor chair but I have some reservations about exposing it to the weather. This is a great new version of the old bean bag chair.... but it is still a bean bag chair. I also find it to be quite expensive for what it is.

Like a couple of other reviewers, I received two very different chairs. The fullest one is very comfortable and offers great back support. The other is flat and leaves you practically sitting on the ground! The good news is they seem easy to refill and the styrofoam beans are available on Amazon for about $20. We love the chairs so much we are going to try adding more beans and hopefully that will work!On another note, the fabric is durable and works great outside and when rain is coming we easily pick them up by the handles and throw them indoors. Sitting in them in the backyard is SO RELAXING!!

I always thought bean bag chairs were tacky and never really found them that comfortable. When I think bean bag chairs I think bright colors and plastic material that gets hot and comfortable, and of course the inevitable mess when they rupture. I saw this one and thought I would give it a try since it looked different, and I am very pleased!First off it looks great, it is a classy brown (if there is such a thing). The material is kind of a rough-hewn fabric, kind of a rustic feel, but not uncomfortable. Then the most important thing - this chair is really comfortable! I have fallen asleep in it more times than I'd like to admit right next to my leather couch. The back of the chair actually provides support, and depending on how you want to sit, i.e. more upright or more slouched, you can easily pick up the chair and manipulate the beans to the "support structure" of your choosing. Even though I am an adult and enjoy this chair, it would make a great addition to any kids room, and could be a nice "gaming chair" if you or your little one is into that sort of thing.

This is a nice looking, versatile bean bag chair. The style is a casual rustic and blends in well with most decors. The twine stitching (just for aesthetics. Actual stitching is a nylon thread that matches the bean bag) and the rope handle add to it's casual appearance. Everything seems well made. After two weeks of use by two teenagers, the chair is holding up well.My first impression was the back of the chair was going to be floppy and would not support me (I am 6' tall and 225 lbs.). I can sit in the chair and it instantly supports my back. The top of the back of the chair hits me between my shoulder blades, so it is not a headrest (like the picture shows). At my height there is no position I can be in where the back acts like a headrest, but that is fine. The chair is still comfortable. The stuffing is still a little stiff, but I expect this will compact as time goes on. Perhaps as I sink down further into the chair I will be able to use the back as a headrest. Also, at this point the sides do not at as arm rests, so for us this is not a captain's chair.I enjoy siting in this chair. It gives support, while also fitting well. My wife and I also like the casual look. This is a great addition to our game room.

Only received cover, never received beads. The description of this item includes the polystyrene beads, but the package didn't contain them.
